I dunno about all that, but the Pats definatly aren't the same team. That being said I don't know that Dante is going to be the same ... especially right out of the gate. That's why I think they'll have to wait for next year to get a full healthy season out of Dante.

I'm giving him a few weeks, but I think you'd be surprised. News around Miami is that he's doing extremely well with no setbacks.

With the pats, I still expect them to make the playoffs, but if they think they're gonna win the SB, they got another thing coming. Dillon also won't even hit the 1000 yard plateau. Although he could still be dangerous around the goal line.

Yea, I don't know why were talking about branch in the first place, we should be talking about bilicheck. He's gonna win them division again.

Because Branch is having contract disputes if you haven't noticed.

Deion Branch deserves every penny he's asking for. The Patriots management is what needs to come around. They let Givens go because they couldn't decide on paying one of Branch/Givens. Well, now that Branch is the only one left, f***ing pay him. He's an absolute tank with Tom Brady throwing to him, and a Super Bowl MVP. What are they waiting for? Just pay the man.

I really do believe the Pats will have a comeback year and I do believe they have a shot at the Super Bowl. That being said, I'm scared of Miami this year. I think Pats fans as a whole are being way too optimistic and cocky. Sure, we have the best coach to ever coach the game of football in Belichick, Tom Brady, and a healthier defense, and I really do believe that it's enough to fuel us to a comeback year and go deep into the post-season into the Super Bowl, but some people just believe that because we are the Patriots and because we have a dynasty means that we can win it every year. Wake up, and have someone smack you into reality. This Pats team is just not as strong as some people would like to believe in a sense that we've had much, much stronger teams during the past 5 years.

Watch the Packers win the Super Bowl, and everyone who was laughing at Brett Favre when he made those comments eats a nice plate of crow

Deion Branch has to wake up and realize he isn't a top receiver. He wasn't even in the top 15 of the league last year in receptions and receiving yards. Is he good? Yes, but don't confuse him with the elite. He has never had 1,000 receiving yards in a season or more than 5 receiving touchdowns in a season. Is that worthy of top receiver money? NO. Dexter Jackson was the SB MVP a few years ago, and so was Kurt Warner, does that mean they should be paid like the elite at their positions this year because of that title? Deion has yet to prove that he can be paid Reggie Wayne money. Richard Seymour deserved the money last summer because he IS one of the best at his position not because he THINKS he's one of the best at the postion. Richard Seymour is in the top 5 at his position and you could make a case for him being in the top 2. I can name 12-15 receivers better than Branch. When Branch realizes that he's living in fantasy land, then there will be no problem.

But he's the best on the team, bar none. Besides, the whole point in letting Givens go was to be able to pay Branch the money he deserved, and they AREN'T doing it.

Maybe it would help if I knew what he was demanding, does anyone know the details of his demands?

Denver will win the Super Bowl.

When Jake Plummer himself puts on a decent performance in a big game, I'll start to consider it. I don't even see Denver winning the West. The Chiefs have the division won.

Not sure of the exact amount, but he wants the same contract as Reggie Wayne.

Well hes not going to get a Reggie Wayne contract so he should just stop holding out if he thinks he is worth that.

The thing about this is that he knows the Patriots need him. He also knows that he doesn't need the Patriots, and someone out there will be willing to give him a Reggie Wayne contract.

I understand wanting him in camp ( I do too ) however, contractually the advantage is all Patriots. The longer he stays out the more it works against him.

It's funny. There are about 100 reasons why the Jets won't do well this year, but I think they could pull off a .500 season. I love Mangini's style so far. Looks like Pennington will be the starter, he went 12-14 passing yesterday in a simulated game. Curtis Martin is MIA, and they need him badly. D'Brickashaw and Mangold should help solidify a horrible offensive line from last season. Coles and Cotchery have had very good training camps by all reports so far.

The biggest factor that could lead the Jets to the playoffs this year is an extraordinarily easy schedule this year. Lots of winnable games outside the division. I'm psyched for football.

The Jets have little hope of reaching .500 this year. They would be lucky to win 5 games with the talent they are sporting on that roster right now.

Barring injury, Tampa puts up 400+ points this year. If the secondary performs, they win it all.

This might kill the Bucs if they don't start fast.

Dec. 3

Tampa Bay at Pittsburgh

Dec. 17

Tampa Bay at Chicago

Dec. 24

Tampa Bay at Cleveland

I actually rly like Eric mangini, and I think hell make a great head coach, hes brought in decent QBs to challenge Chad, and has cut back on payroll, which is never a bad thing.

WOW, another Bengal got arrested yesterday. Eric Steinbach got arrested for operating a boat while intoxicated on the Ohio River.

Chris Henry, Frostee Rucker, A.J. Nicholson, and Matthias Askew were also arrested this offseason. Odell Thurman is suspended for the first four games of the year

Tampa Bay at Cleveland?? Are you saying they lose that game?

December 24th in Cleveland for a team that has never performed well in cold weather could be a problem for the Bucs.

They'll freeze in Cleveland. The Bucs are 3-28 in games where the temperature is below thirty-two degrees. I think they might have a shot, but no one is confusing Florida's winters, with Ohio's winters.

I'm with you. I honestly can't see this Jets team winning more than 4 games. When you don't have a QB or a RB you're in trouble ... and then you look at the rest of the Jets roster.

I'll tell you why Denver wins. They obviously have the skill as they proved this past season with their division win and victory of the Patriots. Their defense is average, but defense only get you so far anyway as the Bears proved. Their offense, however, is even better. Plummer is kind of a choke artist yes, but now he has even more to work with. Javon Walker is a great wide receiver and will give Plummer another great target. Their running game may not be as great as when Terrell Davis was around, but it's still good. Jay Cutler's success is yet to be determined, but if he's as good as hyped he may be able to fill in for Plummer if he struggles. I also think Denver made the best draft pick of all that went well beneath the radar, and that is offensive lineman Greg Eslinger. Somehow this guy slipped to the sixth round which is pathetic. I may be a little off on the numbers, but I believe he's a three time all- Big Ten, two time all- american, and also won the Rimington Trophy, and best center trophy this season. He's also been the center for a Gophers team that has fielded TWO 1,000 yard rushers in each of the last three seasons, which no other team has done. eslinger may not be a starter right away, but if he's your backup you're in pretty good shape. aside from that i just have a gut feeling on the broncos. i picked the steelers last year mostly on a gut feeling, so i'm sticking with my gut.
