RSR Mojo continues and folks this just shows you how bad the NL is and why guys like Arroyo are doing so well over there. The competition sucks. This is also one of the reasons why Pedro made the smart move to go to the NL. Because not only can the Red Sox hit like this but a bunch of AL teams are just as good of hitting teams. Pedro is not the same pitcher he once was. We got the best years out of Pedro but his stuff was very mediocre tonight.

Enough can’t be said about Beckett’s performance tonight. He did have the early lead so that might have let up some of the pressure, but with all of the hype and emotion of this particular game, he rose to the challenge, stayed focused, and was strong.

 

Beckett’s outing, along with how Lester nutted up and handled last night, pitching out of the bases loaded jams is a very big positive.
