He's just hit 100 pitches. That's probably it for him. 10 k's! Holy crap! I hope everyone finally agrees with me that this kid is the goods.:D

Everyone was already on board even before he was called up. I do recall you saying in the offseason that youd be surprised if he got a call up this year, he needed to be traded to get Dontrelle, and the spring training stats were a sign of possible troubles against major league hitters :dunno:
My ML expectations for him this year were low to say the least. I am glad it looks like I was wrong. I don't think he is another Casey Fossum over-hyped lefty.

shhhh, Nixon is batting a very quiet .330
He is becoming an offensive force that combined with Manny and Ortiz is totally daunting for opposing pitchers.

his power is down but he's so much more efficient

The reason he was inefficient was because he was going solely for power. I remember an interview a few years back where he professed a love for homeruns and said all he wanted to do was hit them. You won't do well with that mentality, and it is part of the reason I was never a huge fan of Nixon's. If he wants to be an all around player now, excellent. He's earned a new fan.

Alright, so it's no secret that I have an unhealthy mancrush on Little Pappy. Don't judge, you all do, too.

Is it wrong that a small part of me wants to see this Seanez blow this to a degree that it would be a save situation, just so we can get Papelbon into the game?

It would do two things, number one we'd get to see Paps tonight. And number two, it'd be yet another "HELLOOOO!!" to the front office to get Seanez (and Tavarez, bring him in to give up 2 or 3 runs) the hell out of town.

Yes.

I want Paps strong in August/September.

edit - I still think Rudy can be an effective pitcher when he throws strikes, I do hope they get rid of tavarez though.

Seanez can't be trusted to pitch in yesterday's game.

I'm not much for using signatures, but that is as sig worthy as it gets.
