i was at the big toilet in the Bronx tonight. i had pretty good vantage point to observe the pitching. i was directly behind home plate in the 5th row of the tier box seats.the kid looked pretty good. he had good east-west command. He threw few balls right down the middle. I couldn't get a good read on the north-south commnd,but it must have been pretty good since they hit a lot of grounders. I only remember one ball being smoked-- the bernie homer. Pauley had a great night. He looked very confident. It ws great to see especially since the news on Well is not very good.

I blame Terry. He knows that Seanez has a habit of putting men on. He left him with no margin for error. he should have taken the kid out after the second base runner of the inning. You can't bring a wild pitcher like Seanez to face the most selective batter in the AL with the bases loaded. If he brought him in one batter earlier, he gets out of the inning.

WEEI is reporting that Foulke may go on the DL and the Sox could make a roster change before tonights game.

Has there been any formal announcement that Foulke is going on the DL?

Foulke did not go on the DL prior to tonights game. JVB was sent down to make room for Hansen.

whats with some of you guys bashing trot nixon after this game , he is hitting 298 with 417 OBP, if someone should get bashed right now it should be varitek ,Mr 10,000,000 is hitting 238, f*** he is barely hitting better than gonzo, and the thing is with varitek he usually starts off fast and slows down , so we better hope that he does vice versa this year or we are screwed at our catcher's position

The bashing of trot is his .463 slugging percentage which is horrible for a guy protecting manny. He has no power anymore and should be hitting 5th anymore.

Trot's doing fine numbers wise this year---he just shouldn't be hitting in the #5 spot! I would put lowell there.
