Youk is not a natural 1B!!!! For the millionth time, he's a natural 3B. He's playing it because we have a 3B who's playing better baseball then any 3B in the AL.

kevin youk beat down any and all comers,he made the mueller dumping much much easier for all of us to take and he has played a very very solid 1st base.

although his power#s arent all that his OBP has lived up to and even exceeded our hopes as sox fans.

 

its 240 and im getting thirsty for beer and blood tonite

its almost like a football game

its also may 24th and i have yet to see fenway parks inside this year which in itself is a goddam travesty....

id rather see beckett and mussina but anytime rj comes to the fens it gets sort of electric

Youk is doing a good job of setting up for the big guns right now, in the AL, the 9 spot is sometimes a compliment. Here is my ideal lineup

 

CF Crisp

2B Loretta

DH Ortiz

LF Ramirez

3B Lowell

RF Nixon/Pena

C Varitek

SS Gonzales

1B Youkilis

 

I know Varitek is low, but right now Nixon and Pena are just better, as long as Wily Mo stays in the lineup consistently. 3 days or more off put him in automatic strike out streaks.
