Postponing a game 6 hours in advance is a practice that is hardly ever done these days, but the home team is the decisive factor until game time, when the umps take over. So, the sox were the ultimate deciders on today's game. Now, one must wonder if the sox would have made the call so early if anyone but DiNardo was pitching. Also, the idea of moving back the DHer instead of it being tomorrow, seems a little shady when they have an afternoon game tomorrow anyway. Just some random speculation, but I think the sox are pulling a fast one. Then again, if you have the power, why not?.....

Um I belive its pooring like crazy in Boston and its not suppose to stop until early tommorow moring. Whats the point of letting fans into the park, if they know the games getting canceled. I think the FO was embarrased with the final sox/yanks game at Fenway, they were criticized for letting fans in when and lettting them stay for 2 hours and buy food/merchandise, when they knew there wasnt going to be a game. Thats just my guess, and I would do what ever it takes to skip Dinardos turn as well

Maybe the fact that it hasn't stopped raining since last night has something to do with it? Maybe the fact that it isn't forecast to stop raining until tomorrow evening has something to do with the scheduling of the DH? Maybe you are just trying to smear s*** on another non-issue again with your anti-Sox tripe? Pretty sad, Riv, pretty sad.

but a major storm is passing through anyway, so that makes no sense. the game would have been cancled anyway, and even if they wanted dinardo not to pitch, the umps would have suggested canceling it anyway.

Let alone that this didnt merit using up another thread, the May 13th game thread is still open for him to rant on the littlest things

ehh, nothing on this site right now, figured I'd stir the nest a little. Kay and Kaat brought it up in the yankee call, thats all....

So you admit you are here to stir s*** up?

Whats the point man? You just admitted to trolling. Ive been all for you and your crazy posts in the past Riv but this crosses the line. TO ADMIT YOU ARE STIRRING s*** UP HERE IS BEYOND BELIEF. Troll.

Go fix Matsui's wrist... Im done with you.

wow, um, ok. I didnt pull anything out of thin air here, it was speculated by Kay and Kaat, but who cares. Every now and then it is okay to stir the pot a little, so long as you dont cross the line. I figured it was harmless enough....

lol, I was waiting for a post like this.

What. I'm agreeing with you! It's perfectly sunny outside! The sox are just pussies. Grrrr

Yeah its drizzling right now... try f***ing pouring outside. Gametime by 7 is going to be worse than it is now, Ive heard about reports up to 6 inches we could get here. Unplayable conditions needless to say, we've already seen Clement probably do something to himself as he slipped couple of times on the clumped up mound last night.

btw, the rangers have changed their plans on starting pitchers as have the sox. Tomorrow's probables in Boston are Millwood vs Beckett, but chances are it doesnt get played....

This weather is incredibly annoying. We do need the rain, but could it at least be consistent? Yesterday it would pour for a few minutes, then just drizzle...and today it's beautiful out.
