Chien-Ming Wang vs Robinson Tejeda

Tejeda was obtained as part of the Dellucci trade and was stellar in his first start. He is a guy who bounced between AAA and the mlb in philly, but now he gets his shot in the rotation. The Yankees have classically struggled against rookie pitchers lately, but hopefully they can break that habit.

Wang was a magician in Boston, allowing 10 base runners in 5 innings, yet allowing only 3 runs. He is a guy who pitched great last yr but is having trouble with location on the young season. It is time he puts one together. Yankees go for the sweep today, and hope to keep the momentum flowing into a crucial series in the bronx against the sox. GO YANKEES!!!

Let's hope Wang can continue the streak of impressive starting pitching.

I know your name is Optimist, but you were impressed by Wang last start?

I was impressed by his ability to get out of jams. I was overly unimpressed by his location and his demeanor. Last yr the kid was ballsy and would go right after hitters no matter who they were. This yr he seems overly careful and afraid of contact.....

I was thinking more about the streak of Mussina and Chacon.

Robinson Tejada is a good young pitcher, and I remember while I was in Philadelphia for a week last September hearing a lot about him. I saw him pitch a few times last year and was pretty impressed. Not looking forward to facing him today, however I am confident that the Yankees' veteran bats can come through and knock the kid around for a few runs. Lets get ourselves a sweep, baby!

well we have hammered into their pen for 2 straight days. If we work this kid and get him out after 5 innings, I think we'll expose them again, and if we need to score, we will...

I think the rangers will probally break out for 6-7 runs today, the question will be how good this Robinson guy can pitch and keep the yankees bats down

probably not, I dont think Texas scores a ton, but I think Wang only goes 5-6....

Man, this is going to be some series this coming week, with some great pitching matchups too.

Mussina-Schilling is going to end up being a 1-0 win for whoever wins in like the 25th inning lol
