Good to take 2/3 after that loss on Friday. Like I said in yesterdays thread, didnt wanna go into Boston dropping 2 of 3 to Toronto.

Regardless of the series already played by these two teams, this upcoming one will be a hell of a ride. I think it'll be a close ride all season between the two. Despite getting owned by the Jays, I still don't think they're going to do anything special in the East. They'll fizzle out just like last year's O's. Besides, they're always thorns in our sides, and have been in the past. Sox and Yanks are still the top teams in the East. Now they both have to start acting like them.

I also pitched and would have returned the favor. I threw hard bro, and I was wild. I once hit 6 batters in a game but threw a no-hitter. Man, to play again....
I would have had the advantage of knowing it was coming. You on the other hand would not have suspected a thing until the stitches took a chunk out of your ass and you jumped straight up in the air just a few seconds after you finished your prolonged ritual.

I got hit a lot. I actually loved getting hit. Free bases are cool...

Man, you are a FREAK.
Nah, I'm just big and could take it. The only place that I hated getting hit was the elbow, but I wouldnt wear any elbow protection because that is for pussies....

When I played there was no body armor. You learned to jacknife and flip and taste some dirt to avoid getting hit. I rarely got hit above the waist. Getting out of the way of pitches is a lost art today at all levels. When Mays used to face Drysdale he would be flipping and flopping all over the place. The only times he would get hit would be if Twin D threw at his belt line or below. He'd nail Willie in the ass or the small of the back.

I used to nail people in the knees. So many people talk about head hunting when you want to send a message, but the knees are more of a devastating way to make a point. If you hit them right, you could really knock them out of the game. I also liked seeing the guy who leaned too far over the plate. If you threw at his upper back/neck area, he'd reflexively move right back into the pitch and it would get him in the earflap, and that hurts. I had it down to an art. Intimidation is necessary in baseball and too many guys are buddy buddy and refuse to knock a guy down or drill him. f*** that, inside the lines, no guy in the other dugout was a friend. Outside the lines, I didnt care....

I use to drill Babe Ruth in the knees. I was the only pitcher he couldn't hit off against. His lifetime average against me was an embarassing .045.
