Right, no power. Is that why his IsoP is .280 coming into tonights game? I know it's early, and I'm only expressing a little happiness that he's playing well. My comment was more positive sarcasm than anything else.

haha. Lowell looks better than he did last yr, but he is definitely not the power monger he once was. The swing still looks a little slow...

David Wells, you suck you fat piece of s***. Please eat some more food so you can get fatter and your knees will collapse under you so you could retire.

 thats exactly what needs to happen.

Theres obviously something still wrong with him. His velocity is down and hes leaving most of his curveballs up. pretty bad looking performance by Boomer tonight.

I still think Papelbon takes his place sometime in the near future and atleast by all-star break.

Power monger? Please, Mike has been a powerful hitter in the past, but never what you'd call a power monger. That is complete hyperbole. His best IsoP year was 2003 when it was ~.260. For the most part, he's been a .200 IsoP kind of guy. Do I think he'll uphold the ~.280 IsoP he has now? Not really, but in 7 games he's hit a dinger and dented the Monster twice, so I wouldn't say his power has dried up either.

One year, 2003 when he hit 32. His high outside of that year is 27. My point remains.

The next person who badmouths the Pena trade gets a lifetime ban.

Well look at what Wells is doing for us??? HE'S OLD, AND FAT! he can't do anything anymore, i would have rather of kept Arroyo, and not have to deal with an old fart. I say the sooner we get papplebon ready, and foulke back to his old self, the better, and we just drop the old bag, and let him retire.

I agree that Wells is in no good form...but that doesnt mean Pena wasnt a good acquisition. Quit whining about it.

i ain't saying that(even though i don't like the trade), im just thinking we got rid of the wrong guy. Now i know no one would want to trade for a guy, that is outta gas, but think about it, Arroyo would have been good to keep around, till Jon is ready to come out as a starter.

Did you watch last year at all? Wells started off like crap then too, but he was one of our most effective pitchers for the remaining 5 months after he came back from the DL. Coming down the stretch, I had serious doubts about the Sox chances in each game that Boomer or Wake weren't pitching. Wells $$ is tied to his performance, so I wouldn't worry about Boomer. He's a gamer. Has been his whole career.

In two years, Pena will hit 40 HR and cut down his K's drastically( well drastically for him). Anyone who bothers to bad mouth him now has no patience. Just let it go. Breathe. He will be good. You can't brag about him later if you s*** on him now, well you can, but you'd feel like a trator or an idiot. Or something. Something, yeah.... sorry.
