I have never seen Wang throw a 97 MPH sinker. I didn't know it was possible for a ball to even sink past like 93 mph. I know Kevin Brown used to throw one around 93 and he dominated. 97 isn't a Kevin Brown sinker, thats an MVP 06 sinker.

Wang usually sits around 93 with his 2 seamer that sinks, ie a sinker. Last yr he hit as high as 98 (against the tigers) and his consistent high was 96-97 once the weather got warm....

hahahah, if he could throw a 97 mph sinker than he might be one of the filthiest pitchers ever. Ya Kevin Brown in MVP 06 throws a 95 mph sinker, the fastest iv ever seen a sinker. Wang's fastball isnt even 95 so idk how his sinker is faster than his 4 seamer

He hardly ever throws the 4 seamers. Almost every pitch is a sinker (which is a 2 seamer you get on top of). Last season, in the game the yankees won 1-0 vs Nate Robertson, he was throwing 96mph sinkers consistently and as high as 98. When it was warmer, he was consistently at 93 with a regular high of 96. You'll see.....

It was likely the YES gun was alot faster than normal.

Another impressive game from the Sox. What a road trip too 5-1 to finish it up and go home on Tuesday. Hope the Sox can do better than they did last year against the Jays. Bring on T.O

Wang is a bum. He will never hit 98 mph with a sinker you can say it happened but its one of two things. 1. The gun was off or 2. The gun was moved alot closer to his point of release
