Most analysts also picked the brewers to finish last, ignoring their roster. Most analysts picekd the Jays to finish second based on a lousy spending spree. Most analysts also picked the Yankees to win the world series. See, analysts don't know everything.

Texas is a very good ball club, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them finish second in that division. They've got a good lineup and an underrated staff even without Eaton. Cordero is as good a closer as you can get too. The sox aren't winning because they're playing bad teams. They're winning because they've got a couple of aces, good D, and a solid pen.

They are winning because they are taking advantage of chances and more importantly, the teams they are playing are not....

You just described how to win a baseball game. Good for you.

No, you win a baseball game when you score more than the other team. Nice try bro.

BTW, you call me out for starting fights yet this post isnt a dig? Hypocrite...

riv just shut up and hope your team actually can win a game without hitting the 3run homer.

we hit a 3 run homer in the third game vs the A's and we still didnt win...

the yanks are a one dimensional team that relies on the homerun and the big inning to win. they can't play small ball and that will end up hurting them

That is the thing. They can be very multidimensional, especially with the addition of Damon at the top of the lineup. The problem is, if nobody in the lineup is proactive, then the team will become one-dimensional and we'll wait for the homer. The first game was a great example as we got men on base, we hit and ran, we had some steal attempts, we moved runners etc, etc, etc. We stopped doing that after it worked so well. I was hoping this team would have a different mindset than the one from last season, but so far I see no difference offensively...

Foulke just put out a great inning. I like the idea of reserving him in an 8th inning role for now. What I just saw was very very encouraging.

What a performance out of FOULKIE!!, I say keep him out there to gain more confidence

well, he already gained a bunch and you could lose it all if he blows it in the 9th. He should be pulled....

Yeah, looks like his day is done. I doubt it will happen, but if Pap gets hit hard the media will have a field day in Boston tomorrow. Not that he will, but just saying.
