It's really sad to see what's happened to Nomar. Kind of weird watching the "remdawg unleashed" thing this weekend and see the original interview with Nomar right after the sox drafted him. Nomar has given new meaning to the phrase "falling off the table"!

The real sad question is: is he gonna get into the HOF at this point? What kind of major resurgence is he going to have to have to accomplish that? I remember ca. 03 he seemed like a shoe-in.

I have mixed feelings about all this: Nomar for a long time was my favorite player and was a major reason why I got back into baseball and sports in general. Now he's Ken Grifey, Jr. II - The Whiney Sequel/Harbor Hero.

He is not going to make the Hall of Fame unless he can stay healthy and become the dominant player he once was. Its too bad because he was on the path to the hall of fame and injuries have done him in.

There is no way Nomar is a HOFer. Griffey was dominant for an entire decade, Nomar was only great for a 4-5 years.

I feel terrible for the guy. He's probably still my favorite all time Red Sox, and it sucks to see him hurt all the time. If he could just stay healthy he could easily hit .320 and look more like the Nomar we loved around '99. It's getting to the point where it looks like he will never be healthy for the rest of his career, and that's sad. The guy has so much natural talent.

People are considering his Hall of Fame status? I never thought Nomar was HoF candidate, and he never will be. And even if he is, he won't make it.

That was the growing agreement at first when Nomar all out became an all-star. He'll be in the Red Sox Hall of Fame, that goes without saying of course. Its my belief that he really has never been the same since his wrist was hit by a heater of a fastball. Though Im not sure which pitcher it was who drilled him with that. It has been a snowball effect since.

Nomar has to be kicking himself for not signing the 4 year 60 million dollar deal prior to the 03 season. Since that time he has had one good year, (03) If he had signed that deal things might have turned out different for him. I really feel for the guy, he was my favorite player from 97-04.

I wonder if he is able to move without hurting something. Is this guy 85 years old?. Cause it seems like no matter what he does he gets hurts.
