We still have not got the reason why he was included in the deal. It was not like the Cubs were not getting a good player already. They gave up a crappy shortstop and got a name player in Nomar. It still surprises me that Murton was included in the deal.

he was very good at the end of last year. he is going to be a very good player.

He has looked very good in limited experience. He could go into the hall of fame and it won't bother me at all that we traded him. Any other deal I'd be pissed. If we lose game 4...5,6, or 7 then this trade would look terrible. How miserable do you have to be to complain about a trade that marked a turning point in a season that caused your favorite team to go on and win their first world championship in 86 years? I agree with Rick Pitino sometimes. "The negativity in this town sucks!"

We got a World Series ring, they took on Normar who was out for the rest of the season like 2 days later, the guy can't hit the crap out of the baseball for all I care it was a good trade.
