It says here that during baseball games, green tarps will be placed over the upper deck's seats to reduce the available seating to from 44,100 to 34,000

that is a really nice stadium. I like the idea of having all that stuff in CF. The pool, picnic tables, etc. That would be a very good stadium for the fans

Call me an old fashioned gal, but I prefer a chair and hot dog when I watch a ball game...the bells and whistles of these new stadiums just don't do it for me. All the history and character are wiped away.

Screw the fans. Things I like and don't about the new stadium.

 

It's green. All ballparks should be green.

 

I like the two building idea going on in center and left.

 

I like the low wall in right field a lot.

 

The patios on the tower in left center could be cool or sucky.

 

I like the seats (I think they're seats - or awnings) in center as well. If they are not seats, then I hate them.

 

I don't like symmetrical playing fields. Just hate them. And it is symmetrical even with that corny little nitch down the right field line.

 

I hate bullpens behind glass. I just do.

 

I don't like the triangle seats in left. uhhhhgly. They need something above them like the triangular seats in center at Fenway.

 

A swimming pool? No.

 

Thank God there will be less foul room.

 

Overall, it's better than what they currently have. It could be better though.

 

Oh, and Moose has the best sig.

I love when designers put brick walls in the outfield. Guys ... plays crash into walls ... how bout some padding.

Ya, I have been to Oakland Coliseum (or whatever its called) before and it is a dump. It's not like there is a ton of history there either, so I say demo that bad boy!

I think the green tarp thing is the dumbest idea ever. I mean, what sense does it make? I remember hearing about it at the end of last year and I just shook my head..I dont get it.

 

As for the new stadium..very very nice. I remember an older plan (this might be it, just with a few changes) that included having a hotel overlooking center field. I liked that Stadium A LOT. It was featured in the All Star Baseball video game series, just in case you want to check it out in the Stadium Tours feature.
