Boston will deal Ricky Davis, Mark Blount, Marcus Banks, Justin Reed and two 2nd round draft picks to Minnesota for Wally Szczerbiak, Michael Olowokandi, Dwayne Jones and a conditional future first round draft pick.

Uhh, for the Celtics, I think its good. Makes room for Green on the roster. Sczerbiak is a great scorer 50% FGs and 20 ppg gives you a little less than what Davis gives you, but more consistency. Olowokandi is a pretty damn good rebounder as well. I kinda like it.

No davis's average was a little under 20 ppg.

...your point? Like I said. Consistency factors in to PPG. Davis has a bunch of big games and a few bad games. That leads to lower ppg average then if you consistently score 20.

I LOVE this deal for the Celtics. Wallys a more consistent guy than Ricky. And Olowokandi is a hell of a rebounder. 7.2 rebounds a game for his career, which is something we need, badly, rebounding and toughness. I gotta admit, Ainge has got balls for doing this.

The Kandi man will ALWAYS be known in my book as the guy Amare Crammed on. Nasty dunk. Probably hurt his pride too. I'm surprised that you like this deal Yankshater, you liked Davis alot (or so it seemed) but Wally is a good shooter and a nice player and maybe the change in scenery will be just what he needs. For the Timberwolves, I think this might help them too. Davis is a guy who KG will probably like to have on his team. An athletic dynamic scorer (albeit inconsistent as you said Yankshater) who maybe will flourish under KG being in the post.

i still think this should help the celtics since they have no one who is capable of being a outside shooting threat. It should help open things up for Pierce.

Eh, gotta give to get. Wally can score as much as Ricky but he can do it as a shooter. Gerald Green and Tony Allen are the Celtics athletic guards of the future. They now have Paul and Wally that can score big and Al and Perk are going to get more minutes and grow quicker. The biggest part of this whole trade IMO is being free of Mark Blount's contract. He didnt earn the money he was getting.

i dont really like this trade

we gave up a big contract in blount

but we got a huge contract in wally, whos not much better than ricky, and cant play defense, while ricky was a pretty good defensive player, plus ricky is two yrs younger

i LOVE unloading blount for kandi, but i dont like the ricky for wally part of the deal to be honest
