sad to say i dont think there will be that many takers for dillon since he's on the wrong side of 30, and injuries aside, he looked like he aged 15 years over this season. i'd like to hope it was a fluke injury-riddled season for him and he'll bounce back next year, but considering how tenuous running back careers are... this could be the beginning of the end for him.

belichick will go defense before he ever drafts a running back in the first 2 rounds. he is either going to get a linebacker or a defensive and he might get each in the first 2 rounds. i don't expect them to draft a running back even if they need one. its not in belichick's mold to draft a running back really early in the draft because he never did it when antowain smith sucked it up. why would i expect that to change now. the pats need to upgrade the secondary at safety because rodney may or may not come back. they need a shutdown corner in order to move asante samuel to the slot corner where he is a much better player. the secondary does need an upgrade and that is where you are wrong.

I think you guys have all gone just a little crazy. There's not a GM in this league that would even trade a used ball bag for Corey Dillon. He's 32, he's a horrible teammate(if your not winning) and he's done.

The Cards would never trade Fitz. He and Denny Green have a long history together, so you can definatly count that out. Even if there was no connection ... I don't understand how any of you would think the Cards would be willing to trade away the best young WR in the game, and if he had a QB, one of the top 3 WRs in the game.

Dillon's 31, and still has quite a few years left in the tank

Not really. Most RBs, even great ones, hit that wall at 30 years old, and steadily decline every year after that. Of course there are exceptions but Corey Dillon isn't one. He's just about cooked, and I'd say if any team is willing to take him off your hands it going to be for no more than a 4th round pick, or a #3 WR.
