Thats true, we were coming into this game with the fact that the Broncos finished the 2nd best defense. But they still allowed 350 passing yards and gave up more rushing yards then their own #2 rushing offense had compiled up

No, but I'm saying even then, the Broncos had been moving the ball with ease, the crowd was into the game and the defense was playing suffocating football. That took the crowd out and suddenly New England didn't have to contend with the crowd until Sauerbrun got a body on the ball and forced a fumble. How's that not a good play by the Broncos? Does he fumble if he just slipped and nobody made contact with him?

Plummer made a bad play, I don't see anyone taking away from that interception. That lead to three points, shall we take those three points off the board. That drive probably would've been a Bronco's score, just like the Patriots' possession. Or the bad play call on 4th, wasn't a great play by Samuel, just a bad play call.

We just beat a team that doesn't beat itself... why no love?

Hobbs fumbled, did you even watch the replay, seriously he was just carrying the ball too loosly, so was Faulks

Whatever. Keep fooling yourself. If they play like they did tonight next week, then they'll lose. That is, of course, unless their opponent just shits the bed and the refs blow a couple of big calls in their favor.

Look at the Broncos pass defense all season... one of the league's worst. It's no shock that they were able to pass the ball. But how did your running game do? Ridiculously inconsistent.

We gave up 13 points... that's what defense is about. We were #4 in the league in points allowed. This is exactly what I've seen from this ridiculously underrated Broncos defensive unit all year.

This was a very frustrating game to watch. We out gain them, we stop them on defense. All mistakes. The Brady endzone INT, the Vintieri miss, the Faulk fumble, the terrible def. interference call all added up to this. If this went out regularly we dominated this game. But oh well you can only ask fro so much, 2 super bowls back-to-back aint bad.

Perhaps they shouldn't do that then, huh? Do we discount Watson's great hustle because Champ Bailey half assed it?

I guess the better team won today. Props to the Broncos, good luck to them, kick the Colts asses for us.

I think I might have been the only one in the world that didnt expect the Pats to win this game. I wanted them to, and predicted them to, but I just didnt think they could do it. Oh well. They fought hard and played a great season despite numerous injuries. Next season should be interesting.

and how was your ridiculously underrated running offense?

I never said the run offense was ridiculously underrated. The entire defensive unit was. No matter what the reason, the Pats only score 13 points. How can you even argue?

So, how about that game earlier today!

No surprises. I was giddy that they made the playoffs with Brunell at the helm. I hope Jason Campbell learned enought this year to start getting some snaps next year. A good receiver in the draft would be nice too.

With Schilling & Foulke being no-shows, its more of a surprise the team got to 95 wins. With a better pitching staff, especially bullpen, and Manny/Ortiz still the heart of the lineup, I'm nowhere close to thinking they will be under 90 wins for 06. Just my opinion

I don't know about upgrading your pitching staff. You might have, but almost every pitcher is a question mark with injury concerns.

Everyone in Seattle was so afraid when Shaun went out. Something like that would happen to the Hawks.

Oh my God, the Pats just lost in the playoffs, and we're talking BASEBALL?

Anyway, props to the Broncos. They simply played better. See Red, one helluva football team.

Special teams, the most underrated and un-appreciated aspect to a team, f***ed this game up. Not one person could hold on to the rock. And Vinatieri shanked it when we needed him most. It was not our night. The Broncos are simply a well coached, great team, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them win the Superbowl. Denver deserves credit, they simply played better. Although, I still laugh at Champ Bailey when I see him get wrecked by Watson

Every? More like two, Schilling and Foulke. Unless you mean blisters, but those don't worry me as much as young Taiwanese pitchers with large chunks of time missed due to shoulder problems in 2 of the last 4 years, or 42 year olds with no cartilege in their knees. Just sayin'.

The Pats are a temporary distraction from the Sox in Boston.

Champ Bailey deserved to get his head taken off, but I guess it wasn't showboating as much as fatigue. Fantastic game, a LOT closer than it looked. Congrats on a great season, Pats fans, especially considering the injuries.

Yeah. Baseball town. What is better 16 Celtics championships, or 6 Red Sox championships. Sox. 3 Pats in our lifetime, or 1 Sox in our lifetime, Sox.

Schilling, wells, beckett, and clement after getting hit in the head. That's 4/5 pitchers.

um Clement as an injury concern? In the 2nd half it was 100% mental, not physical injury. It should be cleared up by April. And lets keep in mind here that there is still like an 80% chance of a trade of Wells.
