NFL Week 17 Picks

Taking over for SFoC for the final week...

 

Okay fellow sports fans, heads up, this week starts on Saturday. Which means, your picks must be in by noon on 12/31/05. You must follow the rules. They are:

 

Use the templates provided ( any edits/corrections use your submission )

 

There are three categories :

1) Spread Category : You're picking the favorite or the underdog. The favorite is listed to the left. The middle column is the points that you must win by. This means if the Pats are favored by 4 ( which they are ) they must win by more than 4 for you to win, if they win by 4 its a tie, and less than 4 you loose. If you chose Tampa, that means at kick-off Tampa leads 4 to 0. In other words, Tampa can ; win, then you win, loose by less than 4 then you win, or loose by 4 then you tie.

2) Straight Category : Very simple just pick a winner. Flip a coin, take the favorites, names you like, etc.

3) Total Monday Night Football Points Scored : This is used in two ways. One as a way to determine a winner in the case of a tie. Also as a separate category for the less advanced. Its very simple , in fact the simplest . Pick a number that you think is the combined score of the two teams playing on Monday Night, the closest wins +/-. An example : the score is 24-10 = 34 pts, the person that picked closest to 34 wins either exact, above or below.

Could someone else post the matchups next week, just for fun. Then post the results. I really have to load, down load ( up dates ), debug, and do equipment rehab for my tax practice. As far as play-offs I have yet to figure out a simplist format that people can or would follow and that I'd have the time to administer. Any suggestions PM me. Thanks guys

Right, but it's not like Dom Capers was blessed with a talented team. It comes to the point where the players finally just have to perform to what the coach's gameplan is. Look at USC...I bet my high school football coach could win a few championships there with all the talent he'd be blessed with.
