NFL Week 15 Prizes and Picks

Okay fellow sports fans, heads up this week starts the begging of 3 days of football. Meaning the games start on Saturday, which means your picks must be in by noon on 12/17/05. This is the last prize pick for a while ( i'll be too busy, Holidays, tax season, etc ). You must follow the rules. They are ( I hate being redundant ) :

 

Use the templates provided ( any edits/corrections use your submission )

 

Indicate when you pick if you're just playing for recognition ( I assume everyone else is playing for prizes and recognition ).

 

You must have 10 posts to win a prize.

 

There must be 8 or more prize contestents.

 

There are three prize categories :

1) Spread Category : You're picking the favorite or the underdog. The favorite is listed to the left. The middle column is the points that you must win by. This means if the Pats are favored by 4 ( which they are ) they must win by more than 4 for you to win, if they win by 4 its a tie, and less than 4 you loose. If you chose Tampa, that means at kick-off Tampa leads 4 to 0. In other words, Tampa can ; win, then you win, loose by less than 4 then you win, or loose by 4 then you tie.

2) Straight Category : Very simple just pick a winner. Flip a coin, take the favorites, names you like, etc.

3) Total Monday Night Football Points Scored : This is used in two ways. One as a way to determine a winner in the case of a tie. Also as a seperate category for the less advanced. Its very simple () in fact the simplest ). Pick a number that you think is the combined score of the two teams playing on Monday Night, the closestwins +/-. An example : the score is 24-10 = 34 pts, the person that picked closest to 34 wins either exact, above or below.

 

The prizes are : $ 25 for each category.

podsednik20, Follow the instructions like everyone else. That means the template/format provided and bold to indicate picks, otherwise your submission doesn't count.

I've told you in a post and two PMs that you must use the template, use bold for your picks, and that you can't use the same number for MNF as someone else ( you were informed that 35 was already picked by SoxFan#1 ). I've had the same kinds of problems with Ray10 and RedRuffing15 ( RedRuffing15 has listened and got with the program, which I appreciate ). I don't think it's too much to ask, to read and follow the rules. By not doing so makes the calculation of the results more time consuming and more prone to mistakes due to deviation from the standard format and scoring template. Thanks to One Red Seat, I was able to correct an error in scoring last week ( wouldn't have been an error if he hadn't declined his prize ). This is a have fun contest, there's no risk, no grieve, and for some a few extra bucks for the holidays. I haven't yet decided whether to change you and Ray10 to the " just for fun category " , let it stand, or just not count them.
