LOL clipper fans are such a rarity, the only way you can find one is if they are wearing clipper gear :harhar:

The only way you can see non-celebrity Laker fans going to the games is if there's a Clipper home game (LAL vs. LAC). :harhar:

Hold on a second. What the hell? MSG fired legendary Marv Albert for not being a "homer." Boo.

Nice, this is my 500th post.

Marv Albert is hilarious. Me and my buddy always clown his way of saying "Harpahhh Fah thray!" (back when Ron Harper balled on the Knicks) We always die laughing at that. Good commentator though.

Sorry to change the subject, but watching the Nuggets game... Earl Boykins is awful. I'd much rather have Earl Watson, our big FA pickup, in the game. Better yet, I'd rather trade Boykins.

Did you see the block he had on Jason Terry? Who would imagine a 5'5 guy blocking someone. I've yet to see it but I hope it's as good as it sounds. I consider the Nuggets to be my favorite NBA team but they're games aren't on too much here in Boston so I don't get to watch them too much. They seem to have things going pretty well tonight against a good Dallas team without K-Mart.

I can only hope Staples and Office Depot will never merge...

LMAO!

"...Welcome to the Office Depot Arena for the home opener between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the LA Clippers!!!"

Ours isn't as bad as I thought it would be.

LOL, Al Harrington scored 22 points in the 1st quarter. He ended up with 23 points in the game. Hawks remain winless.

I cannot believe the Heat retired Dan Marino's #13. Sure, he's a HOFer and the greatest athlete that ever played for the city of Miami. But he was a football player. Oh well, Gloria Estefan is next.

Well, they blew a 19(?) point 3rd quarter lead and lost the game.

I hate Earl Boykins. Hate him. Hard to be good on offense when your point guard runs around for 19 seconds. Earl Watson is a better player. Unfortunately, nobody can tell because Watson only gets to play when the Nuggets are blowing somebody out.

What happened? This time was coached great under Karl in last year. This time doesn't hustle, they usually don't look to run, they settle for jump shots (nobody on this team can shoot). And Karl is too loyal to Earl Boykins (kinda reminds me of Tito's loyalty, actually). I want Boykins gone, and I want Voshon Lenard gone. I want Kiki gone too.

So true. And the Reggie Miller calls at MSG he made when he called games for NBC. I wish NBC got NBA back, they owned. Best theme music. Best announcers, (or at least the funnest to clown  ), and always had games on Saturday or Sunday (sometimes triple-headers). Those were a staple in my house when we had family barbecues.

Oh yes! Clippers vs. Lakers on Friday. Can't wait for that! I certainly can't wait for s***-talking ghetto Laker fans. "Lakers rock. Clippers suck. BLAH BLAH BLAH."

Not to mention that they think the Clippers were named after a pair of scissors. Bunch of idiots.

EDIT: Or that they think the owner of Staples Center is Dr. Buss. lololololololololololol.

I love Clippers/Lakers games. As i've mentioned several times on this board I happen to be a Clippers fan as well (just a second team to root for other than the Knicks).

Who is officially the home team for this game?

I voted for:

West

PG Steve Nash

SG Kobe Bryant

SF Shawn Marion

PF Elton Brand

C Marcus Camby

East

PG Allen Iverson

SG Dwyane Wade

SF LeBron James

PF Jermaine O'Neal

C Ben Wallace

Marcus Camby is the best center in the West right now.

I guess that's why he got dunked on by Rashad McCants huh? Lol, that was a NASTY dunk last week. I felt bad for Camby, a 7 footer got the axe.

Yeah but in that respect I had to vote for my hometown player (even though he frustrates me SOOOOOO much) I still had to. Plus I wouldn't vote for people like Kobe and Tim Duncan (if I had to I would have voted for an injured Amare Stoudemire over Duncan)

The only big thing about this win is that we shut myopic Laker homers up. Ahhh, so great.

The funny thing is, they were making fun of us because we haven't beaten an "elite" team yet. "Oooooo they beat the Hawks twice. Whoa!" - Laker fans

Ooooooo, we beat the Lakers. Whoa!.

The Suns are still the team to beat in the Pacific, I have to admit that.

I love that we've gained respect after last season, but without Stoudemire we are not great like last year. We're a good team but theres chemistry issues and theres also the obvious issue. Hopefully we are only a few games out when he returns (at 100% or he should NOT at all, but saying he is at 100%) and we roll the rest of the way and win the Pacific again. B)

It was probably on rookie. The Suns won't be nearly as good as last year without Amare, JJ and Q. JJ was awesome last year, he was one of those key ingrediants to the Suns success last year, of course Nash's 11.5 assists per game and Amare's standout year. How much did he average? It was like 24 or 25 or something. Anyway, JJ was one of the top three point shooters, and Q was also a top Three point shooter. I don't see them being nearly as scary as last year, although they DO still have Nash, who is averaging 11.5 assists AGAIN, WITHOUT AMARE STOUDEMIRE. Once he's back, watch for the Suns to catch fire, and if Amare stays healthy, the Suns have a shot at the NBA title, although I doubt they can top the Heat or the Pistons or the Spurs.

I agree with you that it prob was on rookie, cause on All-Star the Pistons are HARD, and the Suns as a team are a 91 and the Pistons are a 90. Anyway...

Amare was at 26 ppg. JJ was an integral part to the Suns no doubt but hes been replaced and forgotten. Q also was a nice shooter for us, I miss him more than JJ (ONLY because JJ wanted out and that made Suns fans angry) but given time James Jones will become an elite shooter and Raja Bell is a good shooter from area-code distance as well, and on top of that he's a upper echelon defender too. The Suns with Amare can run with the Heat beat the Pistons but the Spurs would be the problems, as they were last year.
