The wait is over! The NBA Finals are finally here...

So when is Game 2? 4th of July?

Yeah, I thought the time off was a little bit ridiculous. What it did, actually, was make me less excited for the series to begin.

anybody watching game 2 between the mavs and the heat? so far the mavs are kicking the s*** out of the heat ,shaq and wade cant do s*** 1 quarter left with the mavs leading big , i smell a championship :)

Heh, The Diesel is 0-6 in the Finals without Kobe.

His FT shooting is just complete dog s***.

and kobe hasnt reach the finals yet without shaq, hey moose its not shaq's fault the mavs are just too dam good :D

Doesn't matter. They both need to win the WHOLE thing in order to prove they don't need each other. But yeah, I hope Kobe never wins it all again.

Shaq has been on MUCH better teams since the split than Kobe has. Much, much better. D-Wade has more talent alone than Kobe's teammates combined.

This game 3 has been a joke. Dallas can't get a call in the last 4 minutes.

Man, here we go again. Blaming the officials. I'm not fond of bad officiating and no one is, but if you lose, you lose. I remember in Game 1 between DEN and LAC, you were complaining about the officiating. Well, in Game 3, you certainly got the calls you wanted, right? Whistle every 5 seconds...

But whatever, I blame my team for losing, not the referees. I didn't watch the whole game so you might have a point.

i agree but i blame dallas ,they had that game in hand ,they just couldnt hit a shot in that last 4 minutes, plus dirk not able to hit his 2 free throws to send the game to OT , i guess the pressure got to dirk on this one, hopefully he will bounce back in game 4

Huh? Dallas isn't my team. I lose absolutely no sleep if they lose this series. Besides, I said time and time again that the Nuggets deserved to lose that series. My lone comment about game 1 and 2 was, and I'll paraphrase, 'The Nuggets look like s***, but can we atleast get a call', and if I remember correctly, was at a time when 'Melo consistently got molested in his attempt to get to the hoop without calls. Besides, the whistle every five seconds does nothing to help the Nuggets, they're pathetic in the half court.

edit: I would bet there's a trend that team's in an 0-2 deficit almost always get the majority of the calls in game 3. Specifically in the later rounds. The Nuggets/Clippers game 3 you referenced goes right along with that idea.

Alright, point taken. And, I wasn't stating that Dallas was your team. Sorry for the confusion, I was saying, "blaming the team that lost, not the officials."

Haha, wow. What a screwjob. Poor Josh Howard.

D-Wade shot as many free throws as the entire Dallas team. He could've been called for a pushoff on that last play too, but definetely shouldn't have been called given the circumstances.

I think Josh Howard comes out and tears the Heat apart in game 6. It was a tough break for him, but the refs made the right call. Not sure what was going through his head.

When Wade is going into the lane and getting hacked everytime he gets the ball for the previous 49 minutes and 58 seconds, he is gonna get that call because he was the aggressor the whole game and it is purely based on reputation, IMO.

If Dallas played like they did in the 1st quarter, we wouldn't be talking about it, they faded down the stretch and are facing elimination.

this is f***ing ridiculus , they had game 3 in hand and f***ed it up , and were looking good in game 5 but they had to miss 3 free throws in the last 2 minutes and WTF calling your last time out in between the free throw, this series should be over , gotta hope now that dallas can win the next 2 at home , dont let me down mavs go kicks some ass

great playoff

best in 10-12 years

dwayne wade and lebron james are just what this league needed

i know im gonna get a lot of crap for saying this, so i'll accept it. I know I said Kobe is the next MJ, and Kobe is amazing. But after seeing Dwade play in these playoffs, and do the things he does, I believe Dwade is the next MJ. The kid is 6'3 and only 24 years old, and has started his great legacy. What an amazing performance he has had, and shown. Surronded by a bunch of veterans, such as Shaq, Morning, Williams, Walker, etc. He led them, and made the Vets look good. He is clutch, and money. I'm still a kobe lover, and I can still say MJ never threw up 81 in a single game, but DWade, is for real.

Could be. He gets the calls that only Jordan could possibly get from the officials. Don't get me wrong, I love Wade, but as somebody who didn't really care who won the series, it's not hard to see that he gets all sorts of calls.

I'll say this. D-Wade is still 3 years older than LeBron, who will certainly improve in that time -- and I still believe that Lebron's the better player right now. If LeBron faced the same looks as D-Wade thanks to having Shaq down low, he'd have a ring too, if not two of them.

woooo, no no no. Lets look at the size different here, Bron is 6'7, and Wade is 6'3. I think it would be easier for james. And Dwade took his team to the playoffs, when he didn't have Shaq, but James didn't take his team. James is over rated. I think the only reason James has so much more hype on him then Wade does, is because of the college transistion. James skipped it, Wade went to college. Seeing how James came straight pro from High School, really makes people shocked. Wade went to college, like MJ did. Maybe not all 4 years, I think, but he went. And he carried the heat to the playoffs as a rookie, to the Playoffs.

Not to nitpick, but you are an inch shorter for each player. LeBron is 6'8" and Dwyane is 6'4".

You're basing who has it easier on SIZE? They're two different positions! LeBron is taller, sure, but he's a SF, which means he's playing against other players of similar height. You're an idiot for even suggesting this.

And Dwade took his team to the playoffs, when he didn't have Shaq, but James didn't take his team. James is over rated.

Kudos to D-Wade for taking his team to the playoffs that first year -- it didn't hurt that he came out of the abysmal Atlantic conference. 'Melo took his team to the playoffs in the much, much, much more difficult Western Conference... slobber all over his dick.

It's been done before. It's not shocking in the slightest bit. Kobe, McGrady, Garnett. But nobody's had the immediate impact of Lebron James. Not even close. None of them were as good as they'd eventually become until into the fourth years of their career.

Wade went to college, like MJ did. Maybe not all 4 years, I think, but he went. And he carried the heat to the playoffs as a rookie, to the Playoffs.

The biggest parallel between Jordan and Wade right now is that they both had one of the NBA's 50 greatest players on their team for their Championship runs.

If they don't get some help from the officials in games 3 and 5, we're talking about the World Champion Mavericks right now.
