That first half in Boston the other night was the best shooting display I have seen in person. Now I don't go to too many bball games, but that half of basketball was special regardless of whether they won the game or not.

Damn, the Clippers could've watched this video before their game against the Suns. They looked totally lost out there.

Nuggets defeat the Pacers on the strength of another Carmelo Anthony game winner. Man oh man is this guy clutch.

Speaking of this, I found a website through Bill Simmons' latest column that basically takes into account how clutch a player is. 'Melo is at the top!

Pierce has almost as many assists as field goals. I cant remember if it was 5 or 6, but I wouldnt think that number is that high, as not many people the Celtics have had in a long time have been capable of hitting a big shot at the buzzer aside from Pierce.

Not to take anything away from 'Melo, his record under that criteria is impressive, but I think the criteria is far too limiting. I think any shot made outside the paint in a game with a 5 or less point spread in the last two minutes is clutch. Sometimes it's the one that wipes away the lead, other times it's the dagger that puts a team away, but it takes ice-water in your veins either way.

I agree with it being too limited. IMO it should be last minute, in a game tied, up no more than 2 and down no more than four. I think that may be a little expansive, but its better than just the last 24 seconds.

I would love to see it with the criteria expanded. I think it'd be very interesting to see those numbers because I agree that it's currently a little bit too limited. I found it kind of interesting, so I figured I'd share. What it basically does is reenforce my opinion that, if the game is on the line, I want the ball in either Carmelo Anthony or Paul Pierces hands.

Kobe, on the other hand, shot below the league average, despite his reputation for being pretty clutch.

What's most interesting about 'Melos numbers here are that, having seen almost all of them, his shots are usually long jumpers with a man right in his face, some of them three pointers like the one against the T-Wolves in my avatar. Pretty interesting for a guy who's game is usually getting to the hoop.

Well, I knowthe KInicks lost last night, which was no surprise, but it was the first NBA game I ever went to, and it was my favoratre players, Nate Robinsons, greatest game, 34 points, led the team most of the way, and he really makes me excited for the future of him, my seats were a few rows back courtside, but then I pulled "backstage" passes, and got to meet a few players, snag a few pics and autos too, there all really nice.

I loved that there were little kids there trying to get as mnany autographs as they could, and someone would come out thelocker room and they'd be like can I have your autograph, and the player would say "First....whats my name??"....and theyd stare at him all stunned, and hed laugh and keep walking, then me n my bro would say, yea its ______, and hed laugh and sign our stuff......

Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. I still can't believe this comeback win. 111-109 over the Nugs, after being down by 22.

I don't understand why 'Melo smacked the ball to the crowd after getting fouled.

What the hell happened to him anyway? I didn't see him hurt last year.

And did he sign the huge contract before revealing he was hurt? I'm worried about his future. Hopefully, he still maintains his athleticism.

He got hurt sometime over the summer. And yes he did sign the contract before word came out that he was hurt, but he didn't think it was that serious.

Aw man, I missed the Clippers-Suns game. I went to the Dodger game instead and they lost. Big mistake made by me today.

Great win for us!

Yeah man. I got home from my game and saw the Clippers were up by like 5-8 or so, and I went in the shower, and got food and came back and you guys were up like 17. I guess you guys came to play tonight. Midway through the third Brand had 27...whatd he end with?

The following is the follow-through of yet another Carmelo Anthony game winner with about 3 seconds left.

I'm eventually getting those, the retro Carmelos... if it wasnt so expensive I'd buy them now but I dont have a spare $250, or else I'll be out of gas money sooner than I think.

On a more serious note, Nugget Julius Hodge was shot earlier in the morning.

From the AP. Looks like he'll be alright!

DENVER -- Denver Nuggets rookie guard Julius Hodge is expected to make a full recovery after being shot early Saturday while driving on a highway.

Sheriff's deputies said the 22-year-old player was struck in his lower body and the motive for the shooting wasn't known. No suspects were in custody.

The team said Hodge is in fair condition, and coach George Karl said he believes Hodge was hit three times in his legs.

"The preliminary reports are that he's going to be fine. He should be able to play again in two to three weeks," Karl said.
