Ex-Yankee? He was never a Yankee. I have yet to recall him getting an out in a Yankee uniform, meaning he hasn't pitched an inning with the team. Meaning he was never a Yankee.

In short, Heredia sucks.

You can't have an ERA if you never get an out. It's mathematically impossible.

What the hell are you talking about? In 2003 he pitched 15 innings for the Yankees. It is mathematically impossible to have officially pitched an inning without an out too, and he pitched 15 of them. He also had 4 K's.

I'm sure you were joking, but what the hell?

Maybe its just hard to think that the Yankees keep playing guys who have steroid ties.

ys, I love how the title of the thread is "Ex-Yankee" rather than "Mets Pitcher". Thats like me saying "Ex-Red Sox Jose Canseco is the biggest steroid user of all"........and yes, I know, he DID play for US as well.

but still, im sure that Cashman KNEW he used steroids when he claimed him off waivers back in August 2003.

But then again, though unlikely, there is no proof that Heredia used while he was a Yankee.

Now I meant to come on and comment on this last night but ive been so exhausted with school and everything I havent had a chance to get online in a few days. This is pretty dissapointing because I happen to like Heredia a lot (im probably the only person on the face of the earth that has ever said that) and was ECSTATIC when we got him back in '03. Was sad to see him go as I thought he had the potential to turn it around, but didnt mind as much considering we were getting Stanny back in return (look how well that one went). But I guess he is just never going to be able to pitch again, might as well retire or go to Japan.

Well you make it sound like Ca$hman would never do something like that. I mean he did acquire Giambi and Sheffield remember.

Not saying he knew about any of their use, but it's possible.

another possibility is that Luccino, Henry, and Theo are having sexual affairs with each other...but not likely ;)

lol jp

...but really, of coarse there was speculation when Giambi was signed, but very little. Sterods were not a big deal then. There was VERY LITTLE, if any speculation regarding Sheffield, and i doubt that anybody in the world suspected Felix Heredia.

I know that is just a joke but it's actually an example of what fueled the fire for me in the giambi thread. Saying that theres a chance the Yankees knew about the steroid use of Giambi, and Sheffield makes sense because they both used them. But your example, as in the Giambi thread, has no backing what so ever.

BTW just because there was no speculation in the media doesn't mean that coaches, managers, GMs, and owners didn't know who was using roids and who wasn't.

...true, but not necessarily reality
