Lester wont start for the big club next year.

dont worry, as indicated in many reports there is a definite possibility that Lester will make his major league debut sometime in July/August. Same time Paps had made his debut.

Last year was a big jump for him development-wise, if he keeps it going he'll add another power pitcher to our rotation, going along w/ Papy and Schill in '07.

I think so, if he picks up where he left off he could end up being a May call up.

I think Lester still needs some development but he will probaly see action with the sox in 06

Jesus Delgado struck out three in two scoreless innings today for the Saguaros of the AFL. The 21-year-old Delgado emerged as one of Boston's top relief prospects while posting a 3.50 ERA in 72 innings for Single-A Greenville. If the Red Sox keep having bullpen troubles, a jump from Double-A to the majors next year could be a possibility.

If he does see action by mid season next year, that may mean some of the pitching problems on this team have not been solved. A good year by the big club means Lester gets the Triple A starts he needs and not have to be rushed up to Boston.

that doesnt necessarily mean so. Gordon Edes and others have suggested that Lester could get a call up for his debut, not meaning the pitching rotation will be in trouble. If you remember Abe Alvarez was called up to do one game of a double-header in 2004 when they had Pedro, Schil in his ace form, Lowe, Wakefield and Bronson where there was no cause for concern. just give other pitchers extra rest before their next starts.
