Never mind all the people that watch, attend and discuss the games, nobody cares about the Yankees and Boston. Give me California and Illinois!

 

Discussion of the games stems mostly from ESPN because for some reason they think that's the only two teams that exist. There is definately an East Coast bias, it's ridiculous if you can't admit it.

Yes there is a bias toward the East Coast; that is undeniable. There are definitely numbers (road attendance, t.v. ratings) that show that the Yankees and Red Sox generate a lot of national interest, it's ridiculous if you can't admit it.

There is (national interest), but in the Midwest their rivalry is Cubs-Cardinals and in the West it's Dodgers-Giants, but you could make the arugment that those two rivalries haven't met in the postseason like the Yankees-Red Sox have.

What is you're problem ? Are you the Rodney Dangerfield of the mid-west ? You have to earn respect. Here's a thought, turn off ESPN audio, and turn on local audio. No one is forcing you to listen.
