well yeah its just these yankee fans who think he will just bomb when there is pressure on. he's got such good stuff, i cant wait to see him as a regular starter

I would only bash Papelbon in defense of Wang, because the two are both midseason call-ups with great stuff.

Timlin is warming up. A very Tito thing to do... go right back to the guy who let you down last time. Great for building team coherence and confidence, but I hope Timliin isn't feeling tired. On this radar gun he better be hitting 97-98.

optimism, shall we? timlin's ERA with the bases empty is at 0.96

Clement vs. Bedard, I think.

Intresting, you guys should sweep the O's. From what I saw at YS they barely try. A telling sign was when Luis Matos hit one to Jeter and he jogged down to 1st. The throw was off line and he would have been safe if he ran hard out of the box. I heard Jay Gibbons admit that they are counting down the "hours" untill the season is over.

Tejada's lacadazical play earlier put the sox back into the game.

Tejada made a brutal error against us that lead to a 5 run inning also. Really the whole team cant wait for the season to end. When a team is counting down the days untill the season is over and then you play 2 teams that are dying to make the playoffs the lack of effort really shows.

best offense: Manny is getting back to himself (big thanks for starting to hustle more on the bases) HR, 3 RBIs, 2 Runs---Cora having a 3 hit night--Edgahh had a good night with 2 hits, 3 Runs, Walk---Tront with his clutch 2 RBI double

dishonorable mention: Damon needs to get it going, 0 for 5 tonight--as well as Tek (still no where near out of his slump) 0 for 4 with 2 Ks

best defense: Edgahh had a clean night

best pitching: Bronson almost made it a short night for himself, but he settled down very nicely to notch his 14th win of the season---Myers, Papelbon and Timlin held down the O's bats to close out the game

Solid win tonight. Arroyo recovered well and Papelbon fired heat in the 8th. The only concern tonight is Damon. I know they're saying hitting doesn't cause pain but he doesn't seem to be making good swings. Two more road games and the Sox come home.

good game, good pitching, good defense, timely pitching and the Yankees played their 11th game in a row tonight, by next Friday when the Yanks come into Boston, they will have played 17 games in a row, and the first game at Fenway will be their 18th in a row.* That hopefully will help the Sox as well.**
