You can't blame a guy for not playing in the field if their are better defensive players on your team. But this guy just comes up with huge hit after huge hit.

Why though? MVP is the Most Valuable Player to a team. If you take Papi off the Sox they're a 2nd place team maybe worse. Doesn't matter if he's in the field or not.

 

If you take Arod off the Yankees they're still more than likely a 2nd place team, so I don't get why Arod gets more consideration than Papi. And I don't know if these broadcasters realize but since Arod has joined the Yankees they've gotten worse ... not really MVP material if you ask me.
