3-To me, its the same exact thing as plowing over a catcher at home, I really do feel that if you can tackle a player at home plate in order to make him drop a ball, why can't you hit the ball outta the glove of someone to make them drop it. It sounds stupid, trust me I know, but when you think about it, it makes sence, just hold onto the ball, and you'll have no problems.

Good points, except it was illegal, which is why it bothers some people.

 

It didn't bother me, because it's just a game. It's supposed to be fun, if they lose, grieve for a minute, and move on.

It's doing whatever he can to help the team. I don't encourage it, but I can see why he did it. Would have been a lot easier to have just hit a game tying homer though A rod.

The rules are pretty clear. The runner is entitled to the basepath, so running into a fielder that is blocking the plate/base is allowed. Arroyo was trying to apply a tag without blocking 1st base. Comparisons between the two plays are completely unfounded.

if trying to slap the ball out of the pitchers or 1st baseman's gloves is legal, how come that is not done so much even in big important games?

in response to the new theme. a-rod is phony little drip and his brings down teams wherever he goes. He is a little bitch and I cant stand him. slap included. No A-Rod is just in general dumb, starting the V-Tek vs. him fight because one of the most wild pitchers in the league hits him, saying that he would have slapped the ball out of Bronsons hand again if he had the chance, he's jsut in general not very smart.

before you yank fans starting "it was all Tek" take a look back once he was beaned by Bronson he started to argue with the ump, and then attempted to step towards the mound. Tek did what any catcher would do, just hold him back and guide him the way to 1st base, but Arod was clearing mouth "f*** you" to Tek and other obscenities, he deserved the glove in the face
