Pats vs. Raiders Week 1 - Game Thread

Lol, no one's posting in here, everyone's so glued to the TV!

 

Our D needs to do a little better in the coverage department. John Madden is an idiot, Randy Moss is just the best receiver in the NFL. You can't really defend against a man like Moss 1 on 1. Madden's always had a hate for the Pats after 2001. Whatever.

wow i will say raiders have offensive abilities to make ot all the way, but won't make it that far if keep making up to 50 penalties a game. haha are they like now up to 25?

The way I saw it....

 

Brady was great. He really did what needed doing. The running game was down and Brady picked it up with a 300 yard+ game.

 

Dillon looked a little out of shape, but I think he'll be fine. The Raiders seemed to have an above avg. defense against the run. It does look like when we get with in 10yards Dillon is gonna push it in every time.

 

Adam V - Missed a extra point! OMFG - When was the last time this happend? Granted it was blocked, but it's still a miss. Nice job f-ing up that one o-line.

 

Our WR's all looked real good. Tim Dwight seems like he could be a big addition this year. He had some nice run backs and a quick little TD.

 

Our Defense looked so so. I've seen them play a lot better. The good thing was in the 2nd half it seemed like the Raiders where throwing everything at us all at once and we held them off pretty well. Against the run we could have done better, but with Randy Moss out there it pulled our guys out. R. Gay looked wicked awsome out there against Moss. He may have had 130 yards, but I really liked what Gay showed us (man that sounds funny, gay...).

 

Punting and coverage needs to get better.

 

O-Line protection of Brady was really good, but run blocking sucked.

 

Other than that I give the Pats a B- and thats good for the first regular season game.

 

Big test next week. Bring it on baby, we are the best team until someone tells us different!
