Sayonara Sammy: Some baseball people are speculating that former Cub Sammy Sosa won’t find any takers in the big leagues next year and that he’ll wind up in Japan. Despite suffering through a horrendous year at the plate in Baltimore, Sosa still is a revered figure in Japan, and he has a chance of earning big money there.

I wouldnt be surprised by this, and I think it would be a great move for Sammy and benefit NPB very much. As someone who follows Japanese Baseball and roots for Chiba and Yomiuri, I DEFINATELY wouldn't mind having Sammy team up with Benny Agbayani on the Marines or Tuffy Rhodes and Toshihisa Nishi on the Giants...god knows they need something.

 

I also think Sammy would be a monster over there.

Orioles have already indicated theyd like to go for mike piazza this offseason to be their new DH

He won't be back with the Orioles, he'll probably go back to Texas or the White Sox as a DH and have an adequate year. BTW anyone else hear the Peter angelos went to Thailand recently because he likes little children a bit too much.
