Yes, I do refer to myself in the third person. It's about that time of year again. Last year's result made me go into exile for a year, but the yankees are playing well again and my confidence is back! Board's a little different, but nothing drastic. Same members appear to be still be here. Except for Zenny, but that not necessarily a bad thing in my case. Good to be back though.http://70.84.190.115/3233/186/emo/rock.gif

not now anyway, Mussina was just rocked hard in his second straight start. It has now been confirmed he will miss at least one start from inflammation in his pitching elbow. Chacon was just hit hard by the Mariners as the Yanks lost 8-3, and pushed the Sox ahead 2 1/2 games. You better be praying your offense can figure out the rookie sensation Felix Rodriguez tonight as well as Randy Johnson to not throw juiced pitches.

speaking of "king felix" I just came across this

Such is the buildup surrounding Hernandez, a hard-throwing right-hander from Valencia, Venezuela. For him, the buildup has always been there, since he was 14 and he first caught the eye of a dozen big-league scouts. And if things had worked out a little differently, he might be in a Yankee uniform.

"They were the first ones to offer me a contract," Hernandez said. "I just wanted to hear from other teams. It was my decision. I liked Seattle the best. I like the people very much."

Gordon Blakeley, the Yankees' senior vice president for player personnel, confirmed Hernandez's recollection. "We tried to sign him before the Mariners did," he said. "I think we talked about $500,000, and at that time he was 16. We tried to jump in early, but he turned it down. We couldn't get it done."

It helped the Mariners that Hernandez idolized his countryman Freddy Garcia, the team's ace in 2002, when Hernandez agreed to a $710,000 deal. Hernandez then burned through the Mariners' minor league system in two and a half seasons. He appeared in 58 games, 48 of them as a starter. He went 30-10 with a 2.59 earned run average. He had 363 strikeout and 122 walks in 306 1/3 innings.

they can't find good talent if it bit them in the ass

Haha, whatever you say man. They've won 5 out of their last 6. I classify that as playing well. 5 out of their last 7 after today's loss, but it's still good.

So am I now a moderate Yankee fan by comparison?

I've read some of your stuff, should be fun down the stretch. The Pedro thing kind of loses it's luster now that he's a Met, no?

Yes, it's pretty much useless now, but it still looks pretty awesome. If the yanks did have him, they'd be in first by 8 games in the division. Pedro doesn't suffer the d rays.

It's been pushing a year since you're ban. Had you waiting 20 more days it would have been 365. The ban didn't carry over to the new software and I didn't feel like banning you again.

A former public enemy number 1 on these boards. Everyone hated him back in the day. Then Yeszir banned him because he clogged every thread with Yankee talk.

This guy's done more for the site in a month and a half than you ever have for any of your message boards, so I'd lay off a little bit.
