anyone new yorkers hear suzyn waldman on the radio today she said Papelbon got lit up in relief- yah, 1 run on 2 hits in 2 innings, what a lousy outing.

 

Our pitching is not good, but that doesn't mean the Yanks are a better overall team.

 

She was also saying no team has a better lineup 1-9 than the Yanks.

 

Sorry, there is no way a lineup that regularly has lousy hitters like Bernie, Womack, Cano, Tino is deeper than our lineup which has no holes and almost no one batting less than .287.

You also play in one of the best hitting parks in the majors for half your games. The yankees' offense could easily surpass your offensive in every offensive stat if we played there.

Okay, it has a short porch thats it. Fenway is such a hitter's ballpark. Yankee Stadium is neutral. Left field is very deep. Fenway is one the top 5 hitter's ballparks. I'd rank it #3 behind Colorado, and Philedalphia. I never said you play all your games at home.

Fenway is DEFINATELY more hitter friendly than Yankee Stadium is, no question. The Pesky Pole, the Green Monster. There isn't much debating on this one.

Death valley is the only thing that makes the Stadium neutral, and that is a marginal classification. Right field at Fenway, off the line, is one of the deepest in MLB. Many of the dimensions between the Stadium and Fenway are negligible when you take in all other variables.

 

Yes, Fenway is a hitter's park, but the Red Sox hit for comparable average between their road and home splits, and actually hit more homeruns on the road. They do score fewer runs on the road, but their road run production is still good enough to be 3rd in the AL and 4th in MLB compared to other teams total (road and home) production.

 

Sadly, I feel this is a waste of my time because I think you have no f***ing clue what you are talking about, and you just reiterate all the same generalizations that you hear elsewhere. Hit-and-run starting s*** is pretty immature, but from you user name, I shouldn't expect any less.
