4 game series, Lets go Blue Jays!!!

Jays meet division rivals in New York

Toronto (63-60) at New York (67-55), 7:05 p.m. ET

The Blue Jays will head into the Bronx on Monday to open a four-game set against the Yankees in the last leg of a grueling 14-day road trip. Toronto began the trip with a promising 4-2 start, but absorbed a disappointing sweep in Detroit. The Blue Jays struggled to score enough runs, as Shea Hillenbrand and Vernon Wells combined to go 3-for-23 in the series. Attempting to reverse the slide, the Blue Jays tap Scott Downs, who will be making his sixth start of the season. Downs had problems against the Yankees in early August and lasted only 3 1/3 innings, allowing four runs on eight hits, but he did not factor in the decision, an 8-5 Jays win. Dont easily give the Yankees win as Jaret Wright in 5 games against Toronto is winless with a high ERA of under 12.

A lovely win tonight. Saved Go and Mo from throwing, and a big win overall.

Wright was just throwing smoke all day, biting back over the inside half to lefties. Really dominating performance. Quite encouraging.
