Yankees 1B/DH Jason Giambi was 0-for-2 against the White Sox on Saturday. He left with a bruised right calf in the sixth.

Giambi is listed as day-to-day. Actually, the way he's been hitting recently he could use a few days of

0-20 or something horrid like that. This injury could be made up for all we know. He needs some time off.

I think he needs a break anyway. Tino's been hitting the ball rather solid of late, and we all know he brings better defense so it won't kill us to see him sit for a few games.

Given the lack of depth at a lot of positions (well, wonder why Jeter or Rodriguez can't have a day off; they just can't), it's not very surprising.
