Well it's pretty much known that if you wore a yankee hat to a sox game, you would get treated worse than if you wore a sox hat to a yankee game. Has always been that way, probably always will. Sox fans have always been a little "rougher around the edges" than yankee fans. A WS win isn't going to change that. Banning yankees suck shirts isnt going to change that. It's the way the rivarly goes and theres nothing wrong with it.

That's not true, at least as far as Fenway was concerned ( I don't know about the stadium ). Most of the stuff was good natured. When things broke out it was usually in the bleachers in the latter innings. That was mostly in the days of beer being sold through-out the game. However, the seventh inning cut-off helped it didn't stop it. There's always going to be people who get tanked or high before they go to a game ( both sides ). Personally, I always preffered NY vs Sox games just because they were more intense.

When I attended a game at Fenway, the fans were (for the most part) nothing but nice to me. I had decent conversations with them and they even defended me when a fan 'accidentally' spilt a beer on me. Every group of fans has its fair share of bad apples, its best not to judge the many by the few.

Also, like I said, treat the home team with respect and you'll get it. I wasn't decked out in Yankee gear (just a hat), didn't mock the Boston players, and whenever the Yankees did something I used my golf clap instead of acting like they had just won Game 7.

Yankee Stadium just gets PACKED to the rim with sox fan in yankees-sox games. Sometimes I have to look around to make sure I'm not at fenway, thats how bad it gets. It feels like the stadium is 50/50 sometimes. I've been to fenway with just a yankee hat to 4 yankees-sox games. Usually just a couple smart ass remarks, but one guy who was not drunk at all really tried to fight me. I just basically ignored him and he finally got preoccupied with something else I guess. I probably watch about half the yankees' home games, a couple away games too, all yankees-sox at the stadium, a few at fenway, but at the stadium, i have yet to see a yankee fan violently threaten a sox fan. Of course I can't speak for the whole stadium, some sox fans here probably have some stories, but I've never seen it.

One piece of advice, and I don't want to come off across as rude but it has to be said, don't be an idiot. You're a guest in another team/fan base's home; act as such. Applaud and root for your team, but don't take it too far (the biggest mistake visiting fans make and pay for.) I've been to Yankee - Sox games in both Fenway and Yankee Stadium, and this little bit of advice has served me well.

I wouldnt even dream of it... not that I've seen it in the few times I've been to fenway, but I wouldn't appreciate yanks fans coming to fenway and being boneheads, and I cant fathom giving yankee fans that kind of treatment in their home stadium.

:D

You can whore my thread all you want, I dont care since I am a bit of a post whore myself.

I'm not 100% sure if we're going to the stadium now, especially since I just spent a boat load of money on more tickets to fenway... yeah I'm dangerous when in front of the computer with a bottle of grey goose & my debit card.... :o

What really bugs me: when sox fans wear a jersey and hat to a yankees-blue jays game. Irratates the s*** out of me. You want to wear that for a yankees-sox game? Fine, go right ahead, but don't do it when then the sox aren't playing. You make yourself look foolish. Same can be said to yankee fans doing that.

Like I said, I can only speak from my experiences, and for the most part, no problems with Yankee's fans. For the most part the comments were humerous and well informed. It was just a few *******s ( they're every where ) that came to the game, not for the sake of the game, but just to cause problems. You know the type, it doesn't matter where the hell the go they either show up half in the bag or totally mashed or sometimes not drinking at all. An *******, is an *******, doesn't matter where they are: a party, a bar, ballgame, etc. It happens on both sides. I mean its like the old cliche ; How was your weekend ? Perfect ! Why ? Because I got s*** faced, got into a fight, and got laid.

Yeah, I've seen some Sox fans be *******s to Yanks fans at Fenway, but for the most part those are just *******s. But I was at a game in 2003 at Fenway during the playoffs and a Yanks fan brought a poster that said "Cowboy up my a**" Now, obviously he didn't finish the last word, but he was pushing it. So a Sox fan came over, ripped it in half  The Yanks fan got pissed, but you know what, for BOTH sides, you go to a visiting team's park, you don't go all decked-out in gear, just cheer when you're supposed to, make good conversation with the fans of the opposite team and don't cause problems. :D
