First game of a HUGE 3-Game Series

 

The rules :

 

(1) You Must be a TalkSox member by 8/18/05.

(2) You must be able to use the tickets.

(3) Make a brief post stating why you should win ( preferred dates in multiple ).

(4) You must respond to winner's notification post within 24 hrs by Private Message with your name and address ( we're under somewhat of a time constraint here, I want to make sure tickets get to you and are not wasted ). Otherwise, they will go to someone else in the drawing.

 

The Drawing :

 

The drawing will be random by me. I will make tokens ( name stuck on coins ) and draw from a bowl. I think that the fairest way ( no personalities involved ). I, and my family aren't eligable.

good thing its a random drawing and i wont get the shaft cause i love the yankees, but as long as its random its golden. even though its a bogus reason, i havent been to a yankee game in 2 years (2003 against the Royals was the last time) because of the ticket prices raising and i cant even afford anything but seats that arent even worth going to the ballpark for from long island. ive been dying to get out to the ballpark and would love to go, so let me know what happens with it..appreciated....the dates really dont matter, friday or sunday would be easiest for me since saturday would be extremely tough to find someone to go with me, but any of them id be appreciative of

I think I should get these seats because for a lifelong die hard Yankee fan like myself, it never gets old walking down those steps at the corner of 161st Street and River Ave and taking that walk down River Ave, of coarse stopping at Stans in the process and checking to see if they have any bargains (I once got an autographed Hoyt Wilhelm photo for $30, with a COA, and for those that dont know Hoyt Wilhelm is a Hall of Fame reliever who came up with the NY Giants and is most known for his knuckle ball and his time with the Orioles and White Sox), then of coarse stopping and seeing if Vinny has any new shirts for sale, then taking that walk down Rupert Place to my gate, walking into the Stadium, finding my section and walking up that ramp to the mystifying site of the hallowed ground that is Yankee Stadium.

 

...And not to mention I reccomended these tickets for you

I think I should be put into the drawing because the last 5 Yankee games I've been to, the Yankees have lost, and I'm sure that bodes well for you guys.

 

Seriously though, I know most people here have been able to put up with me. I've done my best to get along with you guys, and many have reciprocated that to me. It's pretty much a consensus among anyone I know that I'm one of the biggest Yankee fanatics they know. I love the rivalry, and I know I'd have a blast at the game and put the tickets to good use, with a lady friend or another fan from either side of this rivalry. Hell maybe even somebody from the site.

 

And I would definitely not miss the game for anything if I won, so no worries about that.

wow I wish I was as lucky as you to the point that I could be able to say that they won every game i've been to. Ive been to so many games in the last 13-14 years that I couldnt possibly tell you my record....i tried keeping all the ticket stubs from all of the major league games ive gone to and write the scores on the back but over the years ive just lost track.

 

...anyway, i hope the amount of people in the drawing doesnt get too much bigger, the smaller thr group the better my chances

I should win the tickets because I will be sharing them with my friend who is a Yankees fan and it would be nice to have awesome seats at YS with someone I've been friends with since I was in junior high (I'm 26 now)

Also, I've never been to Yankee Stadium.
