Rays return home to face Yankees

NY Yankees (64-52) at Tampa Bay (46-72), 7:15 p.m. ET

The Return of the Injured Wright vs. Casey Fossum

The Rays are 7-3 against the Yankees this season, which is their best mark against any opponent. The seven wins represent their highest win total for a season against the Yankees. Left-hander Casey Fossum will start for the Rays in Monday's series opener and try to make it eight wins this year against the pinstripers. Fossum experienced his roughest outing of the season Wednesday at Baltimore when he allowed a career-high nine runs for the third time in his career and suffered his team-leading ninth defeat.

Right-hander Jaret Wright will start for the Yankees. He will be making his fifth start of the season and first since April 18 against the Rays at Yankee Stadium. After finishing their three-game series against the Yankees, the Rays will finish off the remainder of their 13-game homestand against the Rangers, Guardians and Angels.

Jaret Wight had started the game that yankees were able to score 13 runs in the 2nd inning of an April game against Tampa Bay, he would need that run support lasting just 5.1 innings giving up 11 hits, 8 runs

sushi catches it to end the games, but right now rivera looks anything but unhittable

and yet they still couldn't score even after the 1st base ump blows the strikeout call. I wouldn't be saying anything about mo with your closing situation.
