Jose Canseco is on the "Big Show" on WEEI, and he has announced that he has released a new book called "Vindicated" it is the second book, in a three book series. Seeing that Rafael Palmerio has been outed, I am interested to see what else he has to say.

Crespo, because I'm the grammar/spelling/capitalization cop, you're supposed to capitalize the second "i". It's hardly noticable among the three exclamation points though...someone's excited?

Didn't Canseco say he didn't think Palmeiro is using now, in the past yes, but not now - and that it's a set-up by MLB?

See, if Raffy didn't test positive, this guy's fifteen minutes of fame would've been up, and now gah, there'll be another two volumes in the annals of sports literature, wonderful, quite wonderful.

Any guesses on the title of the third?

Tried to make the Roman Numeral II, but only the 1st I turned up as captalized.

I actually agree with Canseco with the Palmerio point, he knew he had failed the test weeks before 3,000, but why bust him then? MLB has tickets to sell! What great role models, "It's okay to take steriods, when you're a star, we'll only bust you after you've hogged all the cameras, and banged a whole bunch a groupies. We'll only suspend you for 10 days, not games, days!!"

Juiced III, Revaling the secrets of Derek Jeter, Juan Pierre, and Chone Figgins

Wow, I can just see this trilogy rivaling Lord of the Rings. And would MLB be even stupider as to rig a drug-test? The fall-out would be catastrophic for the game.

The ten-game suspension is even more of a joke to pitchers; that's what, two starts? Pssh.

DJ has secrets? Naw. He's squeaky-clean. I think? :o

Cresp, I just don't think you're cut out to be a fact-checker, copy editor. Revealing. Forgot the "e".

...Unless you met "unraveling", to which you're still off. Heh. ;) We're still pals, right?

Maybe a fact checker, but a spell checker/editor? Yeah right, and Sasquatch can read and give a full analyst on War and Peace.

And that would leave A-Rod, Pujols, somewhere in the uhh...

analysis? Ok, I'll stop, but this is fun!

Maybe I should just limit my post to small sentences, that way I can't be nitpicked by a certain someone.

Certain someone that's a Yankee fan, no less. ;)

Hmm, how well can Canseco spell with that juiced head of his? If SF Chronicle dug up the grand jury testimony, maybe they can get a hold of the original "Juiced" manuscipts? How much would that fetch on eBay? A bag of chips and a grape soda?

The book is to be called "Vindicated". Wow this uncovering of Rafy actually gives Canseco a lot of credability. Not only did he say he took steroids he said he took the same stuff that Rafy's test pulled up as positive.

canseco was actually vindicated by the whole episode.

I saw a poll in the baltimore sun and it said 60% believe he shouldnt be allowed in the hall of fame.

after today's exposure of the drug, and the fact that it is something that isnt in supplements, it appears Raf lied again. He should be banned.

Jose must be laughing big time at this one...the down side is that he'll be back on the talk show circuit, it will boost book sales I bet.

I would roll on the floor if they finally nabbed the other steriods liar-sheff!!!

They won't catch Sheff he's arrogant, but not stupid arrogant like Rafy. Sheff will use masking agents.

Actually no, Palmeiro getting caught doesn't necessarily vindicate Canseco, in fact, Canseco ain't helping his cause by saying he thinks Palmeiro is now clean, and his failing the drug test was rigged by MLB.

What Canseco claimed was Palmeiro was doing steroids when they were teammates; Canseco, for the most part, doesn't claim to know about the time, or people, when he didn't play/whom he didn't play with.

Therefore, theoretically, Palmeiro could've been clean through his testimony on da hill, never touched the stuff prior to that, and then started using the period afterward, the period to which Canseco doesn't think Palmeiro did anything...all in the past or something like that - but of course, he doesn't know.

Take what what you will, but I'm guessing in a court of law, they would have to dissect every piece of the claims. Basically chronologically, as it is, it's at different times.

Ha, the title's fixed! :D

I agree -- he's no idiot. Not in terms of his knowledge about steroids, anyway. This is a subject I've figured him to be very credible in, all along. His book goes into entirely too much detail to be made up, in my opinion.

I have heard his conspiracy theories about why he isnt still playing, I have heard his quotes about his prison record, he went out of town while being under house arrest... I stick by my statement he's an idiot.

I can't believe you people are actually gonna bash Canseco. Sure what he did was wrong in the way that ratting on one of your friends is wrong, but come on. Would you rather have Canseco on talk shows, or steroids in baseball? I love what he did for the game. He may have made it look very bad for a few months, but as soon as the players got back on the field everything changed. Ratings are up around the league, and now we know we're working towards a clean game.

Canseco's book is the reason that Barry Bonds is sitting at home right now. Remember that all you double B haters(myself included). If Canseco's book never would have come out then Bonds would have passed Ruth and would be making his way towards Aaron right now. And the game would still be tainted.

I'm happy Canseco opened our, and MLB's eyes. I may have bashed him a little when he first put his book out but I certainly will not now. Canseco may have cheated the game just like Bonds, Giambi, Sosa, Mack, Raffy, and everyone else, but atleast he's helping fix it now.

Well this makes me think then that maybe there are more people out there who might know something about this issue, know a lot more perhaps, and maybe they just abided by the unwritten law that whatever goes on in the clubhouse, stays in the clubhouse. And to some people Canseco seemed like this guy who ran out of cash, sold out his teammates to rake in the dough. Maybe there's no "easy" way in basically ratting out your former teammates, but he hardly used any discretion, didn't seem to be much contrite, and c'mon, he hasn't made that much of an effort to "reform the league" or whatever. He's an outcast of MLB. I haven't seen him speaking to a group of kids that he regrets what he did. If he did, let me know, but he's too busy starring on the "Surreal Life", and I do not want to read about what goes on behind the scenes there. <_>

Juiced III, Revaling the secrets of Derek Jeter, Juan Pierre, and Chone Figgins

Juan Pierre is not on steroids. Look at him, its obvious that he isn't on steroids. And Derek Jeter isnt either. He has some muscle, but not much. He also hasnt been hitting great in his latest games and through out the season he hast done alot.

Posted

That was a joke.

Oh yeah, and i think Canseco did nothing wrong. Canseco admitted himself he did steriods, and those other did not admit it, and if they are cowards enough not to admit it, they deserved to be called out like that and made to look like crap in the general public.

Thanks Detective Dipshit, great job analyzing sarcasm.

They exist. DJ bashers, they exist.

26 to 6 explained that Canseco said Jeter's the best player to not touch steriods.

Has he heard of A-Rod, Pujols, Vlad, etc., I don't know...

Edit: I can't detect sarcasm either. :D Meh?
