Everyone stop posting in this thread. I think it's only right if we leave it at 24 pages.

What, we can't celebrate a great Sox's win, and the fact that our team is still intact ? Come on, enjoy the moment.

I want to enjoy it but because of all the manny trade talk ... then the game winning hit. It just would have been better to leave it at 24 pages.

Gregg IBB's Giambi, K's Phillips, the double play is in order with one out, but Womack is up who is speedy.....Matsui still on 3rd.

Yankees win

Yankees still suck.

What a fantastic game that was today... definitely the either best or second best game of the year. That game in Tampa when Johnny made that phenominal catch then lead off with the HR was great, but this game may have been better.

Yeah, I think this game is because of every thing swirling around. Manny. Papelbon's debut. The deadline. Lot's of drama.

As Jerry said on NESN, what a great Fenway moment. Watching Manny come up and crack that hit washed away all the bad feelings. Actually there were two great moments, the first one being Papelbon's first inning when he K'd two hitters and walked off to a standing O.

Hey Im back from the game!! I got to say that was the most riveting tense game I have ever been to. Everyone was on their feet even during the 1st inning for Paplebon's flawless performance of 2 Ks and a opo up to left field. Lets just say in the 8th inning, my heart was going like a jackrabbit and I swear to god I couldnt even hear my own voice when everybody saw Stern goin back to the dugout and #24 coming up to the plate with a bat, that along with Curt's save in the 9th, I really wont forget

I hoped you had a chance to catch a ball ( where you were sitting ) . Just got back form a few rounds of Party Poker, won enough to pay for dinner with a few bucks left over. Good to see you're home safe.

closest ball to me was to the right of the peskys pole, which was ortiz's crushed shot, landed like 15 feet away from me--thanks, it was a adventure taking the subway home, it was a packed stadium from 1st inning to last out in the 9th. Id like to share this pic with you guys, it was taken during Papelbon's first trip to the mound on Fenway, fav pic of mine I had taken, cuz get goosebumps when see it now
