And Ramirez proved willing to do some of the talking himself Sunday.

 

While manager Terry Francona was addressing beat writers before Sunday's game, Ramirez walked into the manager's office and talked briefly with the media.

 

"I want to stay here. I want to win a World Series," he said.

Hopefully Manny is done asking for a trade every year, and hopefully he'll be with the Red Sox until he retires. He did seem like that was what he wanted to do during the post game interview yesturday, but with Manny I guess you never know. Every day Manny is still with the Red Sox is a good day.

much much much needed day off for him and the whole team, I was so excited when I came home to hear Manny, Bronson, Mueller, and Millar were not traded, even tho the last 2 will not likely come back for 2006, it is a great thing for them to stay on for the Sox's 2005 pennant push
