They let him get an extras days rest, leave during away games to go god knows where! Francona and the whole entire Red Sox staff let their own players walk all over them.

Thats not him walking over the organization, thats just him expressing his views and opinions. The Yankee organization have no control over what Gary says or does not say, and this isn't even about him. Even so, it doesn't matter if noone was interested in him afterwards because the Joe Torre even told him "YOU ARE NOT BEING TRADED." So it wouldn't of mattered if 20 teams were interested in him, it was clearly stated after the rumors that he was here to stay.

Embree was not pitching good enough to stay in Boston.... maybe that 7.74 ERA is right below par compared to the Yankee pitching staff, but it's not good enough to stay in Boston.

hey give the Yankee fan credit for having guts, if not honesty or sense. If I were a Yankee fan, I would be way too embarrassed to open my mouth and say anything, knowing that "we Yankees" were spoiled brats that had an obscene payroll so much higher than everyone else's and still managed to underachieve the last four years and even this year are now roaming the scrap heap for guys like Leiter, Embree and Nomo, bcause we couldn't buy a pennant as is, despite our immense payroll.

 

Even if the Yankees were somehow to win, what honest joy can come of it to an honest Yankee fan, because when you spend that much money buying up all the small market's talent, you are SUPPOSED to win! P.S.: Don't tell me about Yankee injuries - the Red Sox have yet to have their original starting rotation go this year in a five start span. If the Red Sox had remained healthy or had that extra $70 million to spend, the Yankees wouldn't be near them.
