There is a raffle going on where you can win 4 of George Steinbrenner's box seats for the Yankees/Sox game in NY in September.

I heard there will be a website launching in the first week of August, http://www.wegottabeatthem.com, where you can get raffle tickets for $50 to win the 4 tickets. They'll only be selling a limited amount of raffle tickets, 2000 so check out the site if you can. They will track how many fans for each side have entered and announce whether the winner is a Sox or Yankees fan.

i don't see what's so special about that, you could go to yankee stadium, wait in line and get seats for 50 bucks rather than have a 1/2000 chance of going to the game.

to each his/her own though.

My Uncle actually used to own a box seat right next to Stienbrieners and they are good but you don't really feel like your at a ball gam, If you want to go to the game I would reccomend just buying tickets if you can find them.

what line?...Yanks/Sox games are SOLD OUT...and if they werent, no way you could get them for $50.....scalpers i know ask $100+ for bleacher seats for Yanks/Sox

...not that this is of any significance, just thought id throw it in

....i wouldnt even try, its not worth $50 because theres pretty much no chance of getting the seats

that's weird because i know i have and i know many friends who have waited in line and have been able to get tickets for sox/yanks at FENWAY PARK, which has a capacity of no more than 36k (roughly). i also know for a fact that yankee fans can wait in line to get yank/sox tickets at yankee stadium which has a capacity of about 54K+. when you wait in line you get them for face value, it's been done. sold out doesn't mean that people can't return their tickets etc.

scalpers are study, i've never purchased a ticket for more than face value, it's stupid and it's supporting something very wrong. tickets are not hard to come by if you just try.
