It's ok that I post a breather from Yanks-Sox chit-chat, right? :)

Mr. Spluckle follow up his near-perfect game with another gem; 8 2/3 IP with 4 H, 1 R. And he's going against the two-front runners in the AL West, getting back the A's back into contention.

23 - and he's practically the ace of that staff. :o

He's pitching well , but so's the rest of the staff. Oakland may be a strong conder in the Wild Card. I guess it depends on what Bean does in the next two weeks. Is he buying or selling .

Yeah, Zito's curve seems to have its bite back. He start tonight; shall see if they can pack a 1-2 punch, like last time. I love how the two could push each other...Harden complimenting Zito on his curveball, while Zito reciprocates; his hardball is a change-up for the radar-gun-gunner. Harden's devleopment eased the break-up of the Big Three, and Beane hardly ever loses out on trades.

He'll finish the 2nd have 11-0, he's that good.

My my - on "Baseball Tonight", Gammons (and you know how often a Yankee fan disagrees with this guy) said he could have the second-half that Johan Santana did last year. I can live with that assessment.

Shh...!

However, last year Harden got a record 13 NDs, so the run support has to factor in sometime (give him like, three, and it's practically in the bag).

EDIT: Weep, AL East contenders -

Athletics | Harden Terms

Sat, 2 Apr 2005 12:52:11 -0800

Updating an earlier story, the Associated Press reports Oakland Athletics SP Rich Harden signed a four-year, $9 million contract extension. He will make $500,000 this season, a hefty increase from his original contract for 2005, which called for a $336,500 salary. He will make $1 million in 2006, $2 million in 2007 and $4.5 million in 2008. The club option is for $7 million and does not include a buyout. There are also escalators based on innings pitched.

He's a bargain, especially if he only get better.

laffff? Is the Gizgoogle for laugh? Or...wha?? 2nd half - I am horrible at slang.

3-0 in the top of the 9th - that whole staff is full of studs.

OOH! Huston's warming up in the bullpen! *giggles excitedly*
