The Yankees are likely to contact MLB this morning concerning the Rangers having seven coaches in uniform for last night's game. MLB rules stipulate only six coaches in uniform and that if a team wants more, it has to ask the opponent for permission. According to Joe Torre, the Rangers didn't ask him if former Yankee reliever John Wetteland, a pitching assistant, could be in uniform.

who the f*** cares?

this is pretty petty, I dont know why Joe's making such a big deal out of it, maybe its his way of getting back at Wetteland for leaving us after the 96 season hahah

...i believe the Yanks have more than 7 coaches, Neil Allen, Joe Girardi, Mel, Roy White, Luis Sojo, Donnie, Rich Monteleone, and Robby Thompson. But i Thing Montty and Thompson along with Charlie Wonskowicz work in the video room, though sometimes you see Monteleone in the bullpen....but whatever, this is a reall petty thing on the Yankees part

Yankees let Wetteland go because they had some guy named Rivera who was a better closer.

Rivera wasnt closing in 96 so they didnt know for sure that hed be better at that point, and if you remember they did try to bring him back but he was pretty set with going to texas so it wasnt a big deal...they did make an offer though.

And if the Yankees had 7 coaches they'd be a pack of cheaters.

I don't see how they would, it's not like an assistant pitching coach can make a huge difference.

just be glad the sox aren't stiffs like them. seriously, if Manny had done something crazy like go into the monster with a team like the yankees, he'd be shot right now.

There's no bathroom in there, I heard someone say that there's a fan and he wanted to cool off, it's not like that's the first itme he's ever done it tohugh, I was at the Cleveland game where Hafner hit the grandslam, he did it in that game too.
