I'm off to Fenway to see the Sept. 4th game against the Orioles and I'm crapping in my pants in anticipation. It'll be my first time at Fenway and my first time in Boston. Unfortunately, I'll only be arriving about Saturday at noon and leaving Sunday night after the game. Anyone have any tips on what I can do to maximize my experience?

try to get an hour 1/2 bfore the game starts, youll get to see the teams doing batting experience. on rare occasions able to meet sox players and get autographs. i did so back in 97, and met the man himself, Mo Vaughn, he was our pre-david ortiz guy ;)

yeah, fenway is great, you'll love it. the first time i went i wasnt even a baseball or red sox fan and i loved it. its uncomfortable there though, so be prepared. and yes, food prices are high. i got a soda, fenway frank, and some fries for 21 dollars.

Yea, I'm not expecting too much luxury. I just wanna see a great baseball game on a nice Sunday afternoon surrounded by the Fenway Faithful and have a couple of memories that will stick with me forever.

I really wanna enjoy the charm of Fenway cause the only other places I've seen a live major league game is SkyDome and the Olympic Stadium here in Montreal which has about as much charm as a parking garage

what do you mean by that?

Last time I was in Fenway, i sat next to a yankee fan that just kept f***ing with all the sox fans around us....ended up some parent complained and he was asked to leave.

believe me, I'm there cause I wanna immerse myself and watch a game surrounded by people just like me cause none of my friends a baseball fans and mock the fact that I'm such a big red sox fan

Eat at the Cask and Flagon behind the Wall before going in. The atmosphere on the day of a game is all Sox. Then enter at the Yawkey Way gate and stroll the street before going in. If you get to Boston early try to take a Fenway tour, you can get tickets at the souvenir store on Yawkey Way or the ticket window at Fenway.

One of the best ways to see the city is to take a duck boat tour. It leaves from the Prudential Center mall and it's about 90 minutes long.

The earlier the better to take a tour of Fenway. Tours stop 3 hours before gametime and the later it gets the less access you have to parts of the stadium. Do the tour early in the morning and you will be able to go into the dugout and go onto the field.

I've yet to set foot inside Fenway. I'm planning on either making a trip up during my break from school in September, or possibly wait till next year when I'm finished with school. Have fun on your first night in the greatest park in the history of baseball.

my best game yet by far was last fridays win against the yanks of 17-1 :), i had front row seats in the right field box. It was such a rush bein able to rest my arm against the peskys pole, just 15 feet away from trot, taunting sheffroids when he'd start showing his anger by throwing his glove up in the air when the inside the park homerun happened haha, and god to just look down and see the warning track, it was purely a rush like no other

Hey i just got tickets to a sox game in august has anyone ever sat in grandstand 16? im in row 01 let me know thanks

Welcome aboard ! Good seats, but one draw back. Row 1 is adjacent to the main aisle. Meaning you'll have a lot of traffic walking by.

BoSox21, you might want to consider getting a Red Sox Nation Card if you plan on buying any merchandise. You get a discount on merchandise and a few other benefits. Vheck it out at the sox site redsox.com.
