Lay off Keith Foulke, this guy along with Ortiz, put this team on his back during the ALCS, he brought this team a championship, so he should not be booed with his 0.64 ERA during the post season

whatever dude, ortiz has been able to follow through this season tremendously. the fact that it just so happens the day after his 4th blown save (2nd in a weeks time) that he goes to check himself up, make me think something might be up. maybe workings by sox managemnt to cover up his bad play; he is hurt; or maybe as players do he acted as if everything was fine while being hurt--he did an awesome job in the playoffs yes but halfway thru the season, a closers ERA cant be over 6. i was watching nesn, you realize he right now has the worst closer's ERA in all of the majors?

0.64 ERA last year doesnt mean s*** this year.

He sucks now and should be booed. The disabled list is too good, and I hope its for a long time. You kind of thinking is apathetic at best and is the mindset of a fan that seemingly is satsified with one championship and would happily be a happless loser again and wait for a championship for another 86 years. Yeah, team...he was good in 2004 so let him suck now...

He didint bring this team a championship the team did.

That was then this is now..You might be happy resting on the laurels of the past but I want to see guys contribute---guys who get paid millions of doolars to what rest on the past.... I want this team to win.

So BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! foulke...see in you in hopefully 60 days are longer!!!! Take embree with you to help you with your knees...

You think booing him is going to help him? The guy's hurt physically and mentally, he needs to get back, and doesn't need people to give up on him. We need Foulke to be Foulke, and I fully expect him to be back.

I agree with you 100%.

Now everyone lay off Bellhorn too.

Ha! I'll try.

It looks like old foukey will be going on the dl.

As a Yankee fan, I think all the criticism of Mark Bellhorn is unfair simply because the team has enough offense. Along time ago, before 20 home runs were expected from each position 2B was not considered a power position and considering that, I believe that he is a servicable second basemen. Just because he doesn't put up Alfonso Soriano numbers doesn't mean he is a bad player. As for the errors, in 2003 Todd Walker was tremendous in the postseason but he was a good fielder, but I remember seeing a post on this site not too long ago, wanting Walker back.

I'm as pissed as the next guy about foulke, but I think RSN learned its lesson with Lowe. He sucked with a capital S a year before turning into a stellar starter. You never know with closers. One game could be all it takes for Foulke to turn his season around. The boos got to Lowe as I'm sure they're getting to Foulke.

Haha, I'm not hating. Im just saying that is the only reason I could think of that Bellhorn would be talked about in a lot of threads, seeing as how you have a Bellhorn fetish, haha.

I have a new thought. I think we should lay off foulke. I am feeling really pissed right now that people are mad at him thanks to those weei guys. So just lay off give him some time. I remember when he was with oakland manny hit a hr off him to give him a blown save and the loss. I think he blew a couple of saves against us.

Yeah, we have the right to be pissed though. The guy has blown so many games for us. He deserves every bit of what he gets. If he had pitched like he did last year, there is no doubt in my mind that we would have an even bigger lead in the division. If hes going to come back and close for us, he is really going to need to step it up, and pitch like he did in the playoffs last year.

He deserves it? It's not for lack of effort he blows saves. He doesn't go out there with the intention "oh I think I'll blow this game today." God. Imagine how hard it is for him to let his teammates down.

Hes getting paid 8 million dollars to perform this badly? I really feel bad for him and the situation he is in. But like I said before, I do not condone the boos but he does deserve them. It probably does make him feel bad, and I feel terrible for him, and hope he can come back and pitch well, but with the salary hes getting, and the way hes pitching he deserves it. Maybe he had a few bad performances in a row and it just got to his head, I dont know. But what I do know is, is that he is going to continue to hear it until he starts performing up to par with his salary.
