Official tickets question + answer thread

[Sox fan in Tex]

I was able to get these seats for the Friday night game when Anaheim comes to town the first weekend of June, so can anyone tell me anything about them?

 

Clearly, I can see they are nice seats:

But I was wondering if anyone could tell me anymore about them or about Fenway Park in general for a first timer to the Park. Thanks.

Right behind you there's a large concession area and bathrooms. Enter at gate A, expect a line there. Pray that you aren't too far back because poles in that area tend to obstruct a lot. Um, have fun? I think that image makes the seats look closer to the field than they really are.

I'm in row 13... I'm not sure how many rows there are, so I'm hoping that isn't too far back.

Considering it goes AA, BB, CC, and then gets to the numbers, that's decently far back. Oh well.

On my very first trip to Fenway park i had seats at Section 23 in the grandstand, the very top seats. Awesome seats, could see everything very well

Hell No! I guess you haven't sit in those seats in the RF corner where you have to crain your neck to see home plate. And I found 1 seat once which was directly behind a pole, and not just a few rows in front of you, but smack dab in front of you.

They are pretty good, aside from having your snacks and pit stops right behind you, the only thing we need to tell you thats new is nothing! You'll have a great time, and who knows? Maybe you'll see some famous faces there. I know a lot of famous people sit in that front row down there behind the netting. Those are pretty good seats, from that view it doesn't look like you should have any trouble with the poles behind you. Just don't be surprised if you hear a lot of people getting really into the game and intensifying, that's common there. If you get a chance just walk around outside the park and just get to know your surroundings. It's much cooler when you have the knowledge of what's beyond the monster and all the other walls around you. And if you look up past the right field bleachers, you can see the Hancock/Prudential buildings. Have fun!

Fine... the VAST VAST VAST vast vast vast majority of seats in the park are good seats.

Hi, I'm a Redsox fan in the U.K. and hoping to come over for a visit in August and obviously pay homage to Fenway. Anyone know what the situation is with getting Green Monster tickets or how easy it is to get tickets outside??

You will have to pay way over face value this far in the season. Green Monster Tix will be really hard. Check out stubhub.com. It is near impossible to get tix at the gate. Everygame is just about sold out.

Getting bad tickets outside is easy. Getting green monster tickets anywhere is damn near impossible.

What they said. If you don't have success on stubhub or eBay I don't know how you could be able to get tickets. If you REALLY wanna go you may have a few sleepless nights with your coffee on the computer.

I have Green Monster tIckets you had to enter the lottery before the seaon good luck with trying to get them though.

I have a chance to buy 2 green monster tickets -Section M3 ROW 2. I am from NW Iowa and have never been to Boston, but want to take my son to a game would anybody please tell me if these are good seats before I buy them. Well I blew it. I should have NEVER put the seat numbers on here, because while I was waiting for a reply, someone came on here and then went to ebay and bought all 4 tickets. I feel just sick about it. Now my dream seats with my 12 year old are gone. What a dumbass I was, Oh well live and learn...

I doubt someone saw the seats here and went and bought them. Ebay's a big, popular place. I think someone just chose that time to do the buying.

I contacted the person, they were buy now. I had sat up till 1 in the morning waiting for some reply on here since we have never been to Boston and I didn't want to buy them without getting some advice and when I went back poof they were gone. But I have till next Wednesday before we head out to Boston. I'm just kicking myself. They were only 500 bucks for the two..Oh well at least I didn't tell my son what a dumbass move I made..I do have a question about the rain make -up game that is rescheuled for 6/02. Are the tickets that are stamped April 27th good to get into that game with. That was the original date. GO SOX...

I should have just bout those tickets for the buy now price of 500 bucks for the two, but since we have never been there was to cautious, they were row three section 1-3, but oh no..I'll keep searching..thanks for the link. We are going to be able to go to either the 6/01 or 6/02 game so going to go check that link you gave me..
