Embree/Myers/Mantei Observation

[Sox fan in Tex]

I was looking at my Red Sox Pitching Report and came across Embree's numbers of recently. Prior to yesterday's game, it had been 5 days since he last pitched an inning.

 

I also was looking at Myers' numbers and realized just how great he's pitched. I don't think these guys are getting enough credit. I don't see why we have to overuse Timlin and Foulke so much, when these guys are pitching PHENOMINAL. Here's just what I mean:

So I pose a question: Shouldn't we use Embree, Myers or even Mantei in more save positions? I'll always be behind Foulke, and I love the way Timlin pitches, but when Foulke/Timlin are inconsistent, couldn't we put these guys out on the field more when they're this hot?

Mayers has faced like 13 guys, he's done his job what use is a lefty specialist who comes in and gives up hits to leftys and gives up runs Embree desrves a good break too.

Exactly, he hasn't been in for more then an inning, and he doesn't pitch much, so he's always well rested. I doubt he could perform nearly as well if he were to pitch as often as somebody like Timlin or Embree.

He can't do things like Timlin or Embree because he dosen't have that skill which is fine all im saying is no one should be like WOW THAT AMAZING HIS ERA IS 0!! Duhhhh he's useless if he gives up any runs.

listen joan, it's not sarah, and I have nothing to complain about, I was wrong about alan, and have made my peace on that one..in fact, he even got a win last night. and pitched well. and foulke even did well.

 

I think texas is a s*** hole and sox fan in s*** hole is not worth even arguing with so I am one happy camper...no complaints...except that the yankees are hot.

sarasoxfan on RedSox24? GASP! But yeah, everythings fine. Even though I'm not surprised by seeing the Yanks heat up, I don't like it.
