So it begins. I have created this thread the day before the game because, well hey, it's opening day. Usually game threads should be created day of game. The previous game's thread will be closed upon commencement of the next day's game.

 

Looks like it's gonna be Johnson v. Wells. Wells is 16-8, 2.94 lifetime vs. NYY, and Johnson 8-6, 4.41 lifetime vs. BOS. This is the first of 18 games between the two teams, I think, so there's plenty more where this comes from. Even though it is practically meaningless (first game, half of our rotation is injured), I'm sure whoever wins this will be bragging until, well, until tomorrow. This is gonna be fun.

Sierra batting cleanup is very interesting, when I first saw that I thought it was a typo. Sierra is 23-62 against Wells, which apparently is Torre's thoughts.
