You can't be serious.

Pedro has the third highest K/9 rate ever. He strikes out over 10 per 9 innings, Ryan is 4th at 9.55. Behind Randy, Kerry Wood, and Pedro.

And if you think Pedro's K/9 rate is going drop 0.85 in 4 years in the NL, you're nuts.

Oh yes lets bring schilling into the mix. He's the best pitcher ever too right? If you said this stuff you are saying to any well known baseball anylyst, they would laugh. PEDRO IS NOT THE BEST PITCHER EVER.

Alright Yankee fans, its time to get rid of your bias and actually listen to some statistical evidence here. I hate Pedro Martinez more than any pitcher in the world, and am a huge Yankee fan. However, my love for the Yankees doesn't make me blind to seeing that Pedro, without a doubt, is the most dominant pitcher of all time. It's obvious.

I'm not honestly sure that many of you know what adjusted ERA + is, but I'll give you a little lesson, if you are unfamiliar. It basically measures the dominance of a pitcher compared to the rest of his league. Pedro's career ERA + is a ridiculous 167, and there is no one even close to that clip.

That stat alone is enough to determine that he is the most dominant pitcher ever. If you want more, say the word.

Throw ERA out the window.

Last 5 years, ERA+

Pedro: 201

Koufax: 168 (1 better than Pedro's CAREER)

Last 5 years, K/9

Pedro: 10.75

Koufax: 9.44

NOBODY can touch Pedro's stuff in his prime. NOBODY.

Koufax is rated the BEST Pitcher Stuff wise of all time. I swear to god i read it in a Pitching anylist book.

What the heck does that have to do with how dominant he was? Tanyon Sturtze has fantastic stuff, should he be rated as the most dominant pitcher of all time?

Koufax dominated the game with only 2 Pitches. Hitters always knew what was comming, they still couldnt hit it.

How is pedro better when his ERA was nearly 4 last year?

PEDRO IS A GREAT PITCHER!!!!!!

Just not the best.

You're throwing all of this unadjusted ******** at me, and it holds no water.

Pedro's had one year of an ERA almost 4. Do you want to see more than the first half of Sandy's CAREER?

Koufax, Average year; 1955-1961

7-11, 3.94 ERA, 182 innings, 183 K's, 9.05 K/9, 7.55 H/9, 1.37 WHIP

If you knew something about Koufax, his Pitching coach, Arnie Wells was teaching him to do all the wrong stuff, he wanted to throw submarine for God sakes. Plus he had no cartlage in his Left index Finger.

You should know why Koufax was good fpr 5 years.

How can you not admit that there was not ONE single Pitcher, in the history of Baseball, that was better then Pedro? Jeeze.

No there aren't many, but there are some.

I don't care if his coach f***ed up. Pedro has a torn labrum. BFD.

He has a f***ing lead pipe lodged in his shoulder.

Calm down man.

Because there aren't. The stats show it. But most Yankee fans don't care about stats. They judge players on mystique, aura, and intangibles.

Which are also important. You can't tell how good someone is purely on stats. Jeter is an example.
